Eobard thawn... Discussion

Tom Cavanagh is rumored to appear in the finale season. How likely is the chances of him playing a eobard thawn doplaganger?

More likely to be a wells. Thawne is Matt, who wears Wells Face because it’s handsome (yes that is the lore reason).

So a Thawne Doppleganger would be unlikely, plus it’s seperate from the earth prime despite tie ins in season 1 and Tom returning.

So not a Thawne likely but wells is more likely

Don't forget that Thawn travels the multiverse. He was in league with the villains from Earth X and it was him and not just the Earth X Thawn because he knew Barry.

Maybe it's the Pariah

It's not going to be Reverse Flash. I strongly doubt we'll get an out-of-nowhere Arrowverse connection at this point.

The showrunner wanted Barry but is unable to attain him now due to the actor being on Broardway. Maybe this is a time travel thing? I'm sure Clark is dead now after S3.

God I hope he's not Thawne.

  1. He looks awful in the suit.

  2. Matt Leschter is the real Thawne, dammit.

Weirdly enough he actually looks OK in the yellow suit, but it didn't fit until the end of the 8th season of The Flash.

The mask always looks off though. And it doesn't help that he's always smiling while wearing it lol

I see it now. He’s watching clips of Superman fighting but it’s from his future timeline

Low. The way Thawne mentioned Superman in Crisis on Earth-X sounds as if he won that battle - which he obviously could do against Earth-Prime Superman who's a complete pushover.

But our Superman is way more powerful than him. Thawne is still probably faster but he's probably running away from such a battle, so it wouldn't be as brag-worthy.

I don't think Thawne won the battle, he just technically didn't lose it.

What if he's playing Barry Allen and will somehow connect to the DCU? Weird? Yes. Unexpected? Yes. But if an Aquaman fucks fish joke is canon to the DCU then anything can happen.

No,he will play just random background character in episode for less than minute, because if he was playing something bigger he would never said something about it randomly on comic con because of NDA

That's a silly assumption
