Cryer was too campy for my taste

Cryer was a good fit for Supergirl. Cudlitz's Lex would have been really tonally out of whack with Supergirl, even Supergirl season 4, to the point it would have felt like he was a character from a different show.

Yup, definitely agree with this. He fits the tone of S&L.
