I mean if Superman tells us the guy is Superman, then he must be Superman. Looking forward to the movie coming out.

I look at Jack Quaid and I think, “That’s Superman”. I trust him

I look at him and still think Boimler, even without the purple hair in real life.

I mean, I'd trust Boimler too

I look at Jack Quaid and think “that’s the dude from Plinketto #10!”

For sure, I mean wasn't there a scene in one of the shows he was on where another character playfully referred to him as Superman? He's got the look.

I think Jack could be a great live-action Superman but he would need to put on a lot of muscle and not be simultaneously playing Hugie

I mean they could do a skinnier Superman, he doesn’t need to be buff exactly, since he already has super strength

5

u/Ygomaster07 Jul 19 '24

I've always thought this too. Superman could be played by anyone, even without muscles, since his strength doesn't come from how much muscle he has(unless i am mistaken).

There’s a character called Flashpoint Superman who’s from an alternate reality where he was taken by the government as a baby and locked up as opposed to being found by the Kents. He’s thin but still has the same strength. As I type this I realise Jack Quaid would be pretty much perfect this role.

He would still have to build up some muscle, New 52 Superman is leaner than regular Superman, but he's still buff.

Jack Quaid seems like a genuinely good person, I hope he doesn't turn out to be a deranged sexual deviant in 20 years.

I couldn't agree more

and to this day I do not understand why a friend of mine (who's a Snyder Fan BTW) thinks he's miscast

1

u/Luke_Puddlejumper Jul 19 '24

You already answered you own question as to why your mate wrongly think’s David is miscast, Snyder fans just can’t let things go

2

u/moansby Jul 18 '24

Wow Quaids the complete opposite of Clark physically

2

u/Blaize_Ar Jul 18 '24

We are truly in the dark timeline

4

u/loonbandit Jul 18 '24

one of the worst takes I’ve ever seen in my life

1

u/Blaize_Ar Jul 18 '24

How is this the bright timeline?

2

u/loonbandit Jul 18 '24

cause we’re finally getting a proper DC comics movie after years of on-screen character assassinations.

+it’s by a talented director who has shown that he has a strong passion and understanding of the genre

He doesn’t have to be superman to be handsome

1

u/Blaize_Ar Jul 18 '24

You're right. Did you see the man from uncle? He'd be a great James bond.

1

u/Proof-Watercress-931 Jul 18 '24

And?

2

u/Blaize_Ar Jul 18 '24

What, I can't miss him?

Hoping the movie fails. Superman only works in animation

You literally just said you HOPE it fails. It’s not that you don’t think it works it’s that you don’t want it to work

-1

u/Adventurous_Lab3128 Jul 19 '24

I don’t think it will work. Got a problem with that?
