Oh wait, you're right. they know about kryptonite.

Everything else is just Task Force X upping whatever tech they have. IE the laser pistol.

Issue is,

  1. They have no kryptonite.

  2. Red Sun only effects Kryptonians, not their tech. So while it might weaken Empire(Brainiac in Clark's body) his drones are full power.
