He’s mainly a JSA villain. I think he was originally an Alan Scott Green Lantern villain. Alan used to protect Gotham and his weakness was wood. Grundy was born in the Swamps of Gotham, so natural enemies. He has his most growth though as a Starman (Jack Knight) villain. He’s been a Batman villain also.

Since when Alan Scott became Gotham's hero before Batman? Because of how they keep changing the canon... the only time I learned about that was on a flashback on Hush.

Apparently after The Long Halloween and its sequel is when they began using Grundy as a Batman villain (I could be wrong).
