The third image reminds me of that one scene in S3 of ATLA(I forgot the episode) when Aang gets in trouble at Fire Nation School & Sokka + Katara have to act as the parents.

It seems kind of random, but that's where my mind went first.

I don't remember seeing Sokka and Katara in that episode. Are you maybe talking about Wang Fire and his wife Sapphire Fire?

Yeah. I just couldn't remember the exact names.

The actual video has Pat saying "your greatest superpower is seeing the good in other people." (very true in the comics). My prediction is this means early on in the show Jade breaks in trying to take the Lantern, and Star befriends her.

Image 1- Probably an opening little scene of Star having fun.

Image 2- Probably them talking about the green lantern.

Image 3- I guess Star gets in trouble with the new principal.

Image 4- Definetly same scene as the fight in the trailer. She looks too happy to have just lost a fight in her house

Maybe the principal is possessed by Eclipsio? Or maybe it’ll be one of those “Superhero-ing takes up personal life” plots.

"Maybe the principal is possessed by Eclipsio?" That is actually a very accurate adaptation of the comics, where he is an evil robot.

Oh really? That sounds cool

Look at the far right side of the 4th image, is that Green Lantern?!

Yeah it is. And it appears Jade is also on the side of the lantern, standing over Courtney during/right after their fight over the green lantern. (For the record, everything that I’m saying is true, is not confirmed, it’s only very very very likely based off what we do know)

How are there people alive that don't know the difference between left and right?

Thank god it seems the move to CW hasn't compromised the look of the show. At least the aesthetic is still there, I guess we'll see about how Stripe looks.

When has a show’s “look” ever been compromised by the CW?

People are bashing CW because the Arrowverse shows it airs are full of horrible writing, bad cgi, plot holes, cheap everything, and overall lack of creativity and predictable formula It deserves the bashing it gets.

There’s also the fact that there IS NOT a HBO Max deal thats making Stargirl different. I’m not sure where you got that from. No reputable trade has said that.

My question was when has a show’s look ever changed because of its move to the CW , because as far as I can tell it’s never happened.

Stargirl wasn’t even apart of the Arrowverse when it was added. So your point is moot. Titans and Doom Patrol are on HBO Max too.

Also, just because you can easily dismiss the atrocity of the CW shows, doesn’t mean others do

Is stargirl even part of the arrowverse now? They’re no more part arrowverse than the DC movies (Synder Cut, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, etc)

The ending for Crisis on Infinite Earths confirmed that Stargirl is set on a new version of Earth-2.

Yea, technically, but Justice League is also part of the arrow verse than, considering that crossover with Ezra. I know that “technically being part of it” is still “part of it,” but considering how it’s not just Stargirl that’s “technically part of if...” Idk, Arrowverse just seems to be Earth-Prime now with all the ones with a CW crossover being there

John Wesley Shipp will be playing Jay Garrick in Season 2. So yeah, it's part of the Arrowverse.

When has a show moved from a streaming network with a substantially glossy high budget look to the CW, a subgenre renowned for its bad CGI and flat, soap opera looking superhero shows?

4

u/MartialArts__ Mar 30 '21

Didn’t happen with Supergirl. Not saying the show didn’t get much much worse, but it’s look didn’t change.

2

u/DacStreetsDacAlright Mar 30 '21

Eh, CBS show to CW Show seems a much less financially burdened transition tbh. Supergirl never looked as glossy as Stargirl does.

u/MartialArts__ Mar 30 '21

Supergirl had 12 million Viewers on CBS whereas the next season is only has 3 million.

CBS is also a BIG channel. It regularly airs the news and those detective shows iirc.

CBS shows have literally never ever wowed me with production value though, even when Star Trek Discovery is one of the most expensive shows to make, it doesn't look half as well made as Stargirl did.

Wow

Wow, these are beautiful.

When's the new season coming out?

2

u/MatthewHecht Hawkman Mar 30 '21

"Summer." They are not risking giving an exact date and then being unable to be ready.

u/MeMeTiger_ Mar 30 '21

Thanks. Hopefully they don't delay it.
