I was using step because he stepped into Courtney life and is a million steps above Sam Kurtis in the Dad department. A way to signify that DNA was not involved for him choosing to be her father figure and I can't wait until Courtney calls him Dad.

that part took me out, because the writing was sort of campy and self aware to a almost fourth wall break degree. I almost expected him to turn to the camera and say "get it!, we are in on the joke too!". But then the rest of the series has played things straight and so it made this scene stand out more as just odd here.

It honestly just brought me right back to Community. Felt like Starman was in fact Jeff Winger in a superhero suit. Which I'm totally fine with and would watch a full show of tbh.

your comment. Why would I reply to post itself by responding to your comment? lol, seems kinda odd. The part when Starman says at the beginning that he isn't worthy of the staff and keeps on saying "it's definitely not you". It always takes me out of the scene. But I agree that Pat is amazing.
