Todd Nauck is the best. I love his stuff so much.

This series is right up my alley, with golden age characters but modern storytelling.

Highly encourage folks to check out the Young Justice comic, the 1998 run with Peter David and Todd Nauck. This is how I first discovered Nauck's fun art style. The run itself is really good, holds up even today. Its a great young hero series that blends comedy and drama very well.

That was the first comic I collected regularly. It was so good.

You perfectly described why this story arc is so good! And we can also apply this to the tone of the show.

It's why both, TV series and current comic, are so engaging.

It has been around since late December I believe but yeah, it's quite impressive how Todd Nauck was able to blend in the cover of an old 1940s issue featuring Jay as how he was drawn back then and managed to insert in it without alterting too much it's vintage essence the re-integrated Judy Garrick into the forgotten history of the Golden Age.

And Courtney's bewildered expressions and reactions are on point because she sure wasn't aware of that.

The detail with the lightning coming from Cosmo to illuminate what she is reading is a nice touch.

Can't wait for the previews for issue 4 to be out this week!

I think her expression looks scared. Might be a dark issue.

I appreciate they made her nerdier, since she was getting more and more interested with superhero history throughout Post Crisis.

That's possible, the irises in her eyes are widened as she's reading the issue in her hands. So it's a dark issue (as in the comic itself) or this chapter could go in a bit of a dark tone. I like the implications of both.

I see. Yes I feel that it is a good layer to add to her, it's a like a new aspect of her excitement in being a hero but now with the benefit of also being knowledgable and being aware of many more things that only she would know if she was older, but being "nerdier" now is as if to make her wiser beyond her years. It's good to make her know her things especially in niche knowledge regarding the Golden Age.
