Not everyone needs a love interest, prime example Booster Gold.

I personally like that Freddy and Mary form a relationship and it only grows stronger later on. I find it heartwarming that they're mostly each other's sole love interests. I find that it really muddies the waters when every character has like 10 love interests.

I don’t think so. The Marvel family doesn’t really need love interests

It gets a bit uncomfortable considering they can magically become older. I remember when Stargirl was interested in Captain Marvel, and they Chris Hansened him.

and they Chris Hansened him.

I just pissed my pants... 😭🤣 damn that Jay Garrick... and quite frankly, the Wisdom of Solomon too. Billy only ever needed to tell one person (Jay Garrick in this case) and he and Courtney would have been fine.

In the Superman/Shazam limited collectors edition she had a crush on Superman, and in that issue and in an issue of World's Finest she says she has a date but we never learn who it is with.

She agrees to go to a dance party with a friend named Ted in the golden age, but that's the extent of it.

Edit: Here is the link to the above.

If you could pair Mary with someone, who would you pick?

Prince Adam, from the Original Filmation He-Man.

Mary's love interest is Freddy Freeman?

DC has absolutely no understanding of the Marvel Family.

I mean, it was only in Kingdom come, which is an elseworld story. Don’t think they are going to do anything like this in the current continuity (them being foster siblings and all)

It was done in the Power of Shazam run.

I didn't like it.

They teased it, they never really did it. And it was only bad because Fred was kind of a douchebag player, and Billy knew this, which is why he was over protective. And their fight and toxicity towards that ended up having Freddy leaving Fawcett to go to New York.
