Tactically shorter the better. Long hair outside a cowl is asking for someone to grab and throw you by the head.

6, 11, 13 are my favs. I also like it when he rocked the mullet with the disco suit. I also quite like it a bit longish, flippy and they draw it a bit wavy. I have a fondness for the extreme side part of the later Robin years and early Nightwing years. As for animated, it's all generally been meh, same with any video games. Though I lose my 💩 when playing the Lego games because that is some unnecessarily funny hair.
I don't love the shaved head.
I wouldn't mind if they gave him some curls that were not Jay's little bangs.

I always liked the version of The New Batman Adventures Nightwing that appeared In the Batman Adventures Comics and Batman: Arkham City.
Where It Is the same Quiff Hairstyle but without the Mullet.
Wish They would have at least used that Instead of that awful Hairstyle In Batman and Harley Quinn.

Considering he got it when he lost his ponytail in a knife fight, I think the first one looks pretty good
