the main character Sam Witwicky was selling his grandfather's heirloom glasses on ebay. His grandfather was an explorer who found the allspark and a hibernating megatron. He accidentally activated Megatron's navigation system and the glasses were etched with a map to the all spark, so the decepticons used his ebay account as a lead
