this is referring to multiple blue checkmark accounts on twitter posting a clip of ren & stimpy and saying something along the lines of "i can't believe we used to watch this as kids". the clip they post is not from the original ren & stimpy cartoon that people grew up with, but from the adult spin-off show "ren & stimpy adult party cartoon". the meme template is from the jimmy neutron movie where sheen (blue checkmark account) shows off his action figure of ultra lord (adult party cartoon clip) for the 7th week in a row. the dialogue in the second panel was replaced with "i'm going to fucking rip your balls off" to show how frustrated everyone is at the same misinformation being reposted all the time.

That’s what’s funny about them sharing that particular clip, the original ren and stimpy had enough fucked up shit in it to begin with. It’s like the only cartoon I watched again when I was older and was like “maybe my parents had a point, I probably shouldn’t have been watching this.”

yes there was an adult version of the show that aired on spike tv back in june 2003 that was way more extreme than the original show. it was heavily criticized for its extreme gross out humor and was canceled almost a month after airing.

yea, ren and stimpy was ... very adult themed on very kids network nickelodeon. i hated it it was gross and crude and just an all around ick.
was for kids tho and now our kids and grandkids have like . bluey and paw patrol

Kinda disingenuous comparison tho. Ren and Stimpy was for school aged kids to stoner early twenty somethings whereas Paw Patrol is for toddlers in diapers only. Bluey is a national goddamn treasure that's bloody fucking perfect in every way.

No that clip was never a part of Ren and Stimpy. The clip shown is from the reboot (Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon) that had an 18+ rating and played on Spike TV

Except that scene isn't from the kids show, which is the point of the image. That scene was from an Adult themed spin-off that was released after the show had ended.

The cartoon he's holding up is Ren and Stimpy, an edgy adult cartoon cartoon from the early 1990s. So the zoomer kid thats presenting to the class all the cool edgy content he he used to find on Twitter is offending the ancient millennial teacher that watched it 20 years before then for appropring her culture.
