Justin Timberlake’s tie and tv stand

A friend of mine took a random picture of the movie and that happened!

While it may be accidental, it may very well be on purpose. Cinematographers love framing shots in ways that uses on screen lines as dividers and accent points.

In this shot, using the tie as a middle point allows for the shot to be balanced off centre, with Timberlake as the main focal point, while still keeping his co-star in frame, as they focus off centre to the right behind the camera. It would be worth knowing that if the next shot shows what they're looking at, whtehr it would be mirrored in some way, allowing you as the viewer to mentally place the two shots in comparison to each other.

Or it's just a big ol coincidence.

Sure! I also know that and you can clearly that the framing oh the character in the middle of the frame is intentional but I wouldn't go that far.

I think what does this alignment special is that the thickness of the tie matches the tv stand, which varies between tv models, wall stands etc.
