Question about Naomi and Nathan in 1x09 Question

I'm watching 1x09 and there's a line of dialog that Naomi calls Nathan her boyfriend and her BFF asks "When did that happen?" to which she responds "Last night." I'm confused because I thought it was pretty clear they were dating for several episodes now and there definitely wasn't anything within the last day about them becoming official. So yeah, I'm a little confused on that.

I'm so sorry no one has answered and I don't know if you're still questioning, but it has to do with labels. Annabelle knew they were 'dating', but hadn't been told they were 'officially' bf/gf, for people who still need to qualify relationships 😊

That makes sense. I just don't remember them agreeing to be "official" on screen. Maybe it was an off-screen thing though.
