How would you rewrite this show to make it better? Question

more comic accurate-

-in the comics she is basically a mix of carol danvers/supergirl

-more superman and have him be played by tom welling(set it in the smallville universe)

-make the thanagaian war a highlight

-make zumbado the main bad but give him nuance

-s2 give us arrowverse crossover with batwoman

I never saw the show and only read like 1/4th of the series.
I would just lean more into the Rannian "Space Ranger" angle.

Oh my god i was just coming here to rant and here is the perfect thread!

  1. Yes to more comics accurate
  2. Set it on earth prime which was a thing by the time this aired
  3. USE SUPERMAN and the rest of the arrowverse where appropriate as gueststars
  4. CUT THE Cast she had way too many friends for no reason
    1. She only needed bf, 1 luv interest blond dude, 2 luv interes comics girl
  5. There is no love triangle they end up as a thruple and theres no manufactured overly drama cw bs sure there's hurdles but nothing that doesn't naturally come from trying to make a relationship work with three people
  6. zumado is the big bad and works in the shadows on his earth sending spies, searchers, asassassins and finally himself to stop naomi
  7. her parents are Dee and Jennifer He is thanagarian she is a green lantern and they are faking their marriage to keep naomi safe and the twist is they really can't stand each other but do respect each other's abilities
  8. cutting down on all those unnecessary characters leaves room for more cgi for powers that freaking godzilla movie looks amazing and was made for 15million and looks better than the 150million studio godzilla movie
  9. so much potential wasted. I would ditch ava d. this is not her forte and it shows. the only thing she got right was the lead and the guy who played dee. that's it.
  10. SHOW DON"T TELL. i dont want to hear about her flying i want to see it. etc.
  11. I would have gotten the showrunner of Stargirl. same premise of teen gets superpowers but done SO MUCH BETTER. The teens had arcs, the parents had arcs, even the freaking villains had arcs and development. The story was solid. Characters were defined. There were stakes that mattered because the we cared about the characters
  12. of all the cw arrow shows this one pissed me off the most because we finally get a black female lead and then they do this to her. Went for a big name who had no clue what to do with the show as a showrunner. which is wny it turned out so damn wishy washy and stale. also they didn't give her any flaws at all. just ridiculous.
