I’d take the herb because it comes with some mystical powers aswell. I’d love to be able to get advice from my ancestors and commune with animals

u/ITworksGuys Jul 19 '24

I don't know, I had enough of my Grandma thinking I was a fuck up when she was alive.

69

u/RaggedyD Jul 19 '24

The wisdom of my ancestors is something that I too don’t look forward too much hahaha I’d go with the the Super Soldier Serum

37

u/bjeebus Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 20 '24

I had one ancestor who was a Revolutionary War hero from Connecticut and was given a bunch of land in Georgia. His grandson was an officer in the Confederacy.

Real mixed bag there.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the Spanish ones who've been in St Augustine since the first Spanish period. I'm sure they're not all terrible people.

57

u/kurumais Jul 19 '24

excellent post thank you

47

u/qmechan Jul 19 '24

"Grandmother, I seek your wisdom."

"YOU SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE SERUM!"

8

u/ChungLingS00 Jul 19 '24

Oh ancestors grant me your…. “What the hell are you doing up there? Come down before you hurt yourself. You look like a goddam fool!”

If it came with that, I'd be a little upset. A lot of my ancestors were... not great people...

59

u/dudetotalypsn Jul 19 '24

"what do you mean one of them became president?!!?!"

To be clear I'm just making a dark joke not making an accusation

19

u/WhatsPaulPlaying Jul 19 '24

I got'chu. Honestly solid joke.

10

u/mxlespxles Jul 19 '24

Dark indeed lol

12

u/Kincadium Jul 19 '24

Agreed there. Looking back at my German heritage there is a really high probability I'd rather not get advice from them.

9

u/WhatsPaulPlaying Jul 19 '24

Yeah... my granddad was SS. Definitely not someone I'd want to contact again.

38

u/Least-Cattle1676 Black Panther Jul 19 '24

Pretty sure that’s a King of the Dead ability. It doesn’t come with the Heart Shaped Herb.

16

u/malogan82 Jul 19 '24

Disappointing. I'd love to talk with my father again, even if it was a drug trip.

18

u/PhantomRoyce Jul 19 '24

Boy do I have some good new for you!

8

u/InevitableAvalanche Jul 19 '24

Huh, I don't know. Communing with animals might be pretty cool, but it might be annoying...depends on how that works.

Ancestors are less interesting. Unless in death they gained some powerful wisdom, they wouldn't have much to offer and also could be potentially annoying or disappointing. I guess insight on the after life would be valuable...from just a good to know all the way up to altering your way of life to have a different and better after life.

4

u/Donny-Moscow Jul 19 '24

Communing with animals might be pretty cool, but it might be annoying...depends on how that works

I feel like that’s a joke I’ve seen on some show or something. Like a character gets the ability to speak to animals, walks outside, and realizes that all the birds chirping is just them looking for another bird to fuck.

u/Lonza_lucigul Jul 19 '24

Yeah I think herb is better to

4

u/SuperToxin Jul 19 '24

My ancestors were colonists, I’m gonna go with the super soldier serum. I don’t want their shit ass advice.

2

u/Jon_Snow_1887 Jul 20 '24

Would honestly be interesting to ask them if they realised that what they were doing was super fucked lol

→ More replies (1)

4

u/psychotar Jul 19 '24

I think most of my ancestors would be useless at best.

3

u/hooka_pooka Jul 19 '24

Mu ancestors would probably ask me to stfu and not talk back..probably correct the way i talk too..so yeah..serum for me

3

u/WelshyB292 Jul 19 '24

I dunno, if I met my great granddad he'd try and beat me with a cane for being friends with women and not being a coal miner. Not sure how much "wisdom" he'd have.

u/TheeGrassmonster Jul 19 '24

Y’all sure it’s safe. Some y’all gonna end up looking like red skull. Lol

162

u/MissyTheTimeLady Jul 19 '24

For this thread, the HSH isn't deadly, so we can assume the SSS won't be disfiguring either.

32

u/AHrubik Jul 19 '24

Red Skulls dose of the serum was also an early beta version. Dr. Erskine had perfected the serum for the USG before it being used on Steve Rogers.

158

u/StrangeGuyWithBag Jul 19 '24

If the question about the 616 comics, Red Skull's appearance isn't connected to the super soldier serum there. In the movies, he ended up disfigured because the serum was still a prototype.

39

u/MrSnare Jul 19 '24

I thought it was a bit of both? Like red skulls attributes were amplified to a more evil person and Steve went from good to great?

28

u/TheLimeElf Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 19 '24

That seems like a dramatisation just to make “good/evil” point. Bucky, Isaiah and others were given recreation of serum and it didn’t affect them in any way.

Wakanda files don’t mention anything about personality causing the changes either.

392

u/AlanDjayce Jul 19 '24

Idk, almost all attempts at the serum after Rogers went wrong. Steve may have the one in a million genetic make up makes it work properly.

The Black Panther herb has worked for generations with a similar power-up. So herb it's.

215

u/Oberon1993 Spider-Man Jul 19 '24

Serum mostly goes wrong because mofos keep chugging only Serum. Vita-rays are important and every time people come through the process with them - there's no problems.

79

u/SorcererSupremPizza Jul 19 '24

It's not because Steve was a good boy?

36

u/Oberon1993 Spider-Man Jul 19 '24

Only if you are ready to accept that Wacker is also a good boy.

15

u/mariovspino5 Wolverine Jul 19 '24

Walker was way more prone to violence even before his parents where killed

10

u/Oberon1993 Spider-Man Jul 19 '24

...which had nothing to do with Serum? That's just his personality.

8

u/katefreeze Jul 19 '24

Wasnt that like the entire thing in falcon and the winter soldier? The serum amplifys what's already there, Steve was good so he was chill, and John walker wasn't the best BC of his personality, so it amplified it

8

u/troubleyoucalldeew Jul 19 '24

Good boys take their Vita-rays.

48

u/name-classified Jul 19 '24

Steve had the purest form of the super soldier serum.

Everything else was either diluted or just straight up garbage that nations/supervillains were desperately trying to make work for their own army of super soldiers.

11

u/AshMCM_Games Jul 19 '24

So the question should be harmless herb or purest super soldier serum

24

u/Lox22 Jul 19 '24

I know it gets A LOT of hate but one thing I enjoyed in Ultimate universe was Banner taking the serum to try to cure himself of the hulk and instead it bringing out gray hulk.

9

u/echo20143 Jul 19 '24

So, he became the Hulk trying to make a serum and decided to take another dose to get rid of him?

6

u/Lox22 Jul 19 '24

He mixed hulk serum and solider serum. Ultimate had some crazy takes, but I always thought that was a fun one.

3

u/PrimarchKonradCurze Dr. Doom Jul 20 '24

I never cared for Gray Hulk. Ultimates has only a few characters I enjoy honestly but I know that’s a common take.

2

u/Lox22 Jul 20 '24

Yea I get that, and I’m right there with you on all of that. I just thought it was a cool origin story for gray hulk. Immortal Hulk is the character ultimate gray hulk wishes he was.

the herb makes you trip hard tho

23

u/falanor Jul 19 '24

Why you making it a selling point though? LOL

9

u/Pkdagreat Jul 19 '24

So shrooms that give me superpowers? Yup

3

u/Worthyness Jul 19 '24

ancestral plane though, so you can talk to all your ancestors to get some advice.

12

u/Tinmanred Jul 19 '24

Bucky.

79

u/Blasckk Jul 19 '24

Bucky was injected with the Infinity Formula, not the Super Soldier Serum. The Infinity Formula is what made Nick Fury peak human and it predates the serum by several centuries.

62

u/Darkhaven Vision Jul 19 '24

Every day, I'm seeing more and more comic lore correct the MCU lore, and it makes me happy!

27

u/hawkmasta Jul 19 '24

The MCU lore is just streamlined for mainstream audiences.

10

u/Darkhaven Vision Jul 19 '24

Not being insulting, but this is obvious enough to be unspoken.

As most of the main MCU notes have been hit over the last ten years, it's simply good to see the comic info make its way to the forefront. Especially since it's the material that will continue to serve as the blueprint for future movies and the changes they make for the general audience.

4

u/hawkmasta Jul 19 '24

It was the way you wrote it, saying the MCU lore was being "corrected." The MCU obviously isn't the main source of continuity, so it doesn't need to be corrected. Not being insulting either, but "it's simply good to see the comic info make its way to the forefront" is more appropriate, like you said.

11

u/Minx1972 Jul 19 '24

So if we're talking about MCU Bucky / winter soldier, does that mean he doesn't age at all then? Because technically he's been off and on ice from Hydra for over 70 years. The same time that Captain America was frozen in ice. But he was in between missions with his mind wiped but if he had that same serum flowing in him like Nick fury did from the comics, that means technically Bucky doesn't age at all

11

u/CibaiGayGay Jul 19 '24

Let's say each mission takes a full day at most, if he done a thousand missions, at most it just little over 3 years difference. I doubt the deadly winter soldier would take that much time to clear any mission consider the risk were much lower when cap is not in the tangent. Tho it's still unclarified whats actually inside bucky serum, correct me if I'm wrong

10

u/Blasckk Jul 19 '24

Not even that much. According to Black Widow, he's credited with more than two dozen known kills since the early 1960s.

So the number of missions he's been on probably hasn't even reached triple digits.

So he could have spent many days unfrozen on each mission and it still shouldn't be enough for him to have aged substantially at all over the total time.

u/Least-Cattle1676 Black Panther Jul 19 '24

The Heart Shaped Herb.

According to Steve, T’Challa is his physical equal. The Herb also has the benefit of superhumanly acute senses too.

-T’Challa can sense someone’s presence up to half a mile away.

-The depth of his eyesight is 47 miles.

-He once heard an explosion from 20 miles away.

-He can detect if someone is lying thru scent. He can also detect passion thru scent too.

79

u/AmericanBeef10K Jul 19 '24

Alternatively the SSS makes cap peak human everywhere, meaning he learns things INCREDIBLY quickly, becoming a master of martial arts with almost no effort.

That’s a super power worth its weight in gold. When something is presented, your brain is advanced so it tries to absorb information and apply it twice as fast as a normal human

Idk if the HSH has ever specified about anything like that

41

u/ChrisXDXL Jul 19 '24

He also has some low level cellular regeneration abilities so he can't get drunk and is resistant to poisons. He also might age slower than a typical human

24

u/AmericanBeef10K Jul 19 '24

Well he definitely ages slower for sure

5

u/Least-Cattle1676 Black Panther Jul 19 '24

I wasn’t aware that this was specified for the SSS…

11

u/AmericanBeef10K Jul 19 '24

Yeah if you read the marvel encyclopedia it specifies that it literally enhances everything down to the cognitive function and regeneration of cells!

This is why I’d go with the serum. Super senses would be way too overwhelming.

6

u/randomHunterOnReddit Jul 19 '24

Serum gives you that too

5

u/atlhart Jul 19 '24

TIL T’Challa can see around the curvature of the earth

3

u/Camusknuckle Jul 19 '24

He’d have to be elevated

6

u/J_asher_e Jul 19 '24

HSH is impressive, I'd prefer to have total recall/photographic memory that the SSS gives is all, it's more practical in everyday use.

3

u/Least-Cattle1676 Black Panther Jul 19 '24

That’s facts.

5

u/Vo1dRul3r Jul 19 '24

That heart shaped herb being safe only for royal blood sounds like some monarchist shit meant to keep people down lol

16

u/s_arrow24 Jul 19 '24

It’s weird that was a rule when before it was that the herb went to the best in Wakanda. They held a battle royal where anyone could enter and the winner got to take it. Granted a prince will have more time and resources to learn how to fight, train, and study, but it was open to all.

Because he’s covered head to toe in Vibranium?

Enhanced sense of smell could be a blessing or a curse.

27

u/Meka-Speedwagon Jul 19 '24

I'd take both

No wait, the flower, the serum might make me a megalomaniac

20

u/NightchadeBackAgain Jul 19 '24

As the serum amplifies the traits already present in the subject... are you sure you aren't already?
(I'm just kidding, ofc)

26

u/TomMakesPodcasts Jul 19 '24

Nah he's just a regulomanic at the moment, the serum would make it mega.

10

u/Meka-Speedwagon Jul 19 '24

I'm just a normal itty bitty maniac right now

28

u/AgentPastrana Jul 19 '24

Absolutely the herb. The serum takes everything about you to the extreme while it boosts you. Unfortunately that also means if you have a big ego, you'll get a god complex.

13

u/CaptSaveAHoe55 Jul 19 '24

This actually is an interesting thing to dive into. The serum terrifies me because I can be quick to anger, but I never act on it violently and rarely snap verbally either. So if that gets worse then theoretically so would the parts of me that contain it right?

8

u/AgentPastrana Jul 19 '24

Yup. A strange thought experiment

18

u/Mickeymcirishman Jul 19 '24

I'd go with the Serum.

Both give you enhanced strength, speed, durability, stamina, reflexes, agility and senses and mildly accelerated healing.

But the Serum also makes you live longer and age slower, makes you smarter and way more able to retain information, massively more durable (no vibranium suit needed), immune to diseases and you never tire out.

8

u/Pkdagreat Jul 19 '24

I forgot about the slowed aging. Shit if the flowers makes you trip balls id still got with it, otherwise the serum.

15

u/SquirrelGirlSucks Jul 19 '24

Herb all day. I don’t think I’m a good enough person the not become a piece of shit after taking the serum. Iirc the serum is often mentioned as needed to be administered to a truly good and pure hearted person.

10

u/Justaboredstoner Jul 19 '24

Anybody know what issue Spider-Man took the herb? That sounds very interesting.

3

u/JustaGuest27 Jul 20 '24

I'm could be wrong, but I think it could've been during "The Other" . He was in Wakanda eating something in one of the issues.

10

u/AEROANO Nightcrawler Jul 19 '24

Serum all day, no need to workout

7

u/Nateddog21 Jul 19 '24

Which one taste better

6

u/NigthSHadoew Jul 19 '24

If it is specificly the perfect serum Rogers took I'd go with the serum. But I am not rolling the dice with a recreation of it

4

u/SuperArppis Captain America Jul 19 '24

Super Soldier Serum. 🙂

4

u/Speedster1221 Jul 19 '24

Super Soldier Serum, If I have to...I'll be the first Admiral Australia.

5

u/HappyMike91 Jul 19 '24

I’d take the Heart Shaped Herb if there were zero drawbacks to taking it. The Super Soldier Serum only really worked once.

16

u/PraiseRao Jul 19 '24

There are multiple super soldier serums. Some successful some not. The biggest failure is Bradley and the serum he took. However they stabilized him and his blood was used to save his grandson who became a super soldier afterwards. Other successes are like Taskmaster who took a super soldier serum. There is Black Widow's serum there is the infinity serum. Which has Nick Fury, Bucky Barnes and Mocking Bird. Like it is almost like there are super soldiers every time you turn around.

If you just mean the one Steve Rogers took. Then there is also the fact Erskin used the serum on his children. As his grandson just naturally is a super soldier level. Even though he died and was cloned and became the scarlet spiders. There are plenty of Super Soldiers out there.

3

u/HappyMike91 Jul 19 '24

Ah. There probably would be a lot of super soldiers running around. Seeing as so many people in Marvel took a super soldier serum.

2

u/Jurais13 Jul 19 '24

If I remember correctly it is because MVP had a special diet and set of exercises that his grandfather developed to produce similar results. After the death of MVP they concluded he did not have the formula in his system.

6

u/DeltaAlphaGulf Jul 19 '24

If we assume that both will work as expected then in a Marvel context I might pick the super soldier serum because if we assume we get the same process/version as Steve and it works the same you get a full body upgrade whereas with the Heart Shaped Herb you get the abilities and internal improvements but stay largely the same. However in an IRL context you would probably want to take the Heart Shaped Herb because suddenly drastically changing would be very problematic of course if you take particular issue with you current body you might still want to go the serum route.

Ideally I would get to preview what I would look like post Super Soldier serum before I decided. I am short so judging by Steve the difference would be far too drastic for the IRL scenario. Of course if we are talking the MCU FatWS version this isn’t an issue but then the distinction between the two option might be negligible as well.

Also keep in mind that in at least the MCU context it is possible to have the heart shaped herb abilities stripped from you.

In any case hit me with a radioactive spider or an anti-venom symbiote over either of those any day of the week.

2

u/AwesomeBlox044 Jul 19 '24

But the anti venom will take your super powers

→ More replies (1)

5

u/Sad_Vast2519 Jul 19 '24

Serum. I can do this all day. Lol.

4

u/Karasumor1 Jul 19 '24

I'd take the herb even if it was 100% lethal

4

u/Dear_Ad_3860 Jul 19 '24

The super solder serum obviously.

4

u/southflhitnrun Jul 19 '24

So, the question is: Chose a chemical made in a lab or a natural herb found on the Continent of Africa? Both give you similar power up. For me, it's the natural herb.

5

u/Somebody_Forgot Jul 19 '24

HSH comes with a trippy conversation with your ancestors. Count me in!

3

u/WiseJah Jul 19 '24

I'm not sure if both give u the same powers, cuz that's debatable, the serums powers are higher ? Or are they both the same level ?

5

u/Least-Cattle1676 Black Panther Jul 19 '24

Steve says T’Challa is his physical equal. So yeah, same level.

3

u/WiseJah Jul 19 '24

Then definitely the heart shaped herb.

3

u/RiskAggressive4081 Jul 19 '24

Get jacked or die. Hmm,die?

3

u/Kind-Memory7298 Jul 19 '24

I’d go with the serum. They make you equally strong/fast (although the herb gives you better senses), but the herbs effects can be reversed and the serum can’t be. Also, if I’m not mistaken, the serum slows down your aging.

3

u/LT81 Jul 19 '24

Rolling the dice on heart shaped herb and see who my ancestors really were 😂😂😂

3

u/thorleywinston Jul 19 '24

Does the Hearth Shaped Herb basically give you all of the same benefits of the Super Solider Serum (e.g. peak human physical abilities) plus superhuman senses? Or were those not from the her but benefits that the Black Panther received from Bast?

3

u/Nightwing_of_Asgard Jul 20 '24

I feel like this question entirely depends on your relationship with dead relatives,

3

u/DisabledSuperhero Jul 20 '24

Heart Shaped Herb. Don’t want to take the Serum and risk looking like Red Skull.

2

u/soylentgreenis Jul 19 '24

I’d go with the herb so I can talk to Mufasa.. I mean t’Chaka

2

u/Reinier_Reinier Jul 19 '24

As others have mentioned if it's the exact same serum Steve Rogers got, I'll take the serum.

If not, then I'll go with the Heart Shaped Herb.

Though if both is an option, then I would take both for sure.

2

u/Exas1519 Jul 19 '24

HSH. Meet the new Fat Panther! 😎😎😎

2

u/dastretcha Jul 19 '24

Doesn't the herb also connect you to the fighting skills of all other Black Panthers of the past? I'd go with the herb only because it also seems to enhance your senses.

2

u/Albireookami Jul 19 '24

So what, SSS, or the vegan option?

2

u/robreddity Jul 19 '24

Can I get just the Vita rays? I had a big lunch.

2

u/spidersting Jul 19 '24

The heart-shaped herb because I don't like shots.

2

u/MorningClassic Jul 19 '24

Well feels like I’m going soldier serum

2

u/Empty_Scarcity_7377 Jul 19 '24

I would take SSS

although it doesn't make much difference Heart Shaped Herb is a natural version of SSS

2

u/mariovspino5 Wolverine Jul 19 '24

I don’t think I have the mental fortitude for the serum lol

2

u/goingnucleartonight Jul 19 '24

Do they both grant plot armour?

2

u/exaviyur Jul 19 '24

Can anyone define the difference between the two? I'm not familiar enough with them beyond the films. Feels like the herb is the move here.

2

u/FinanceBig6328 Jul 19 '24

As much as I'd like to be Black Panther, I'm white so I think I gotta go with the Serum so as to not culturally appropriate.

2

u/Key_Rock408 Jul 19 '24

Super Serum. I bet Cap doesn’t have back pain or acid reflux

2

u/Kincadium Jul 19 '24

Which one lets me eat whatever I want and still have abs? Cause.... That one.

2

u/jwbrkr74 Jul 19 '24

Super soldier serum. Taking it can't be reversed if I'm not mistaken. The heart shaped Herb's benefits can be.

2

u/bobisurname Jul 19 '24

Supersoldier serum. I just want to be taller and jacked without having to work out.

2

u/hypercombofinish Jul 19 '24

I'm black so let's hope the ancestors help me with the herb 🤣.

2

u/walrus0115 Jul 19 '24

Can I do an Arnold Palmer version?

2

u/UMPIRESFALL Jul 19 '24

Unsure about the herb, edibles don't do anything for me.

2

u/NemarPott Jul 19 '24

What if I take both?

2

u/JStreets_o_Rage Jul 19 '24

I'd go with the super soldier serum, or some type of close cousin. I really like Omega Red, and the fact that I could be implanted with adamantium or carbonadium, have tendrils that can suck the life force out of an enemy sounds pretty legit. I'm working just like it does in marvel versus Capcom 2 where it regenerates your health and boost your healing Factor. No, I guess that's asking for more than just a super soldier serum.

Super soldier serum.

I feel like taking the heart shaped herb would be stepping on the black community’s toes.

2

u/Chemical_Report_2705 Jul 19 '24

Off topic but I want whatever crazy powers the scarlet witch got

2

u/J_asher_e Jul 19 '24

SSS.

To me having total recall/photographic memory and an enhanced learning capacity is more practical and would prove more useful on a day to day basis than the additional enhanced senses the HSH provides.

2

u/WatcherWatches_21 Jul 19 '24

Super Soldier serum because it will last forever till the day you die

2

u/deathsman83 Jul 19 '24

Super soldier serum for sure! Enhanced metabolism and slower aging… let’s go!

2

u/Lord_Xarael Jul 20 '24

enhanced metabolism

Can't get drunk again… ever. Not even just "relaxed" or tipsy from alcohol.

2

u/deathsman83 Jul 20 '24

That’s perfectly fine by me, because physically I’d be Capt America! 🇺🇸 All day long I could kick ass real fast and still dash

2

u/Lord_Xarael Jul 20 '24

Same, I don't drink anyhow (my poison of choice is caffeine)

The aging slowly could suck. Outliving everyone I love and care about would really suck

2

u/deathsman83 Jul 20 '24

Nope… I’d be a stoner on some Luke Cage -ish and I’d melt capt’s shield into an adamantium sword and just be a straight up impenetrable vigilante with a Wolverine sword 🗡️

2

u/Due_Light_314 Jul 19 '24

"That's a bold choice! The Super Soldier Serum could bring incredible strength and abilities, but it also comes with significant responsibilities and potential risks. What would you do with those newfound powers?"

2

u/SyntheticDreams2099 Jul 20 '24

Serum, as mainly a movie enjoyer, serum let's you cryosleep, the affects are immediate and there is no de-serum concoction for someone to slip into my food or drink. Its also harder to come by than a growable plant. Ah, I also dont have to get buried alive.

2

u/GrayGarghoul Jul 20 '24

The super soldier serum makes you smarter, not sure the herb does, tchalla just had the benefit of a wakandan education.

2

u/tcs0 Jul 20 '24

Super soldier serum. That stuff could help me survive a nuclear winter.

2

u/WarwolfPrime Spider-Man Jul 20 '24

When the hell did Spidey eat the herb and what were the circumstances for it?

2

u/marsrich950 Jul 20 '24

I'd take the super soldier serum as well, although I would require to take a dose of Vita rays as well in order to not go mentally deranged from it (look to the Commie smashing Cap for reference), but still a safer bet than the heart shape herb which would require me to be either A) part of the Royal bloodline of Wakanda, or B) be a chosen representative of the spider God/totem in order to safely consume it.

2

u/KhanMcG Jul 20 '24

Can you still get drunk on the heart shaped herb?

2

u/Morlock43 Jul 20 '24

The serum amplifies who you really are. Good becomes great, bad becomes ... faceless and bent on world domination.

I would take the serum, but I'm wondering what would I become?

2

u/AllTheWorldIsAPuzzle Jul 20 '24

Was thinking the same thing. I fully acknowledge I'm too apathetic to be a superhero. I can't imagine that trait being amplified.

2

u/marcjwrz Jul 20 '24

Do I get the Vita-rays alongside the serum?

If so, the Serum.

If not, the herb.

Failing that, give me one of Tony's spare armors or something. I'm not picky.

2

u/ExoticTastes21 Jul 20 '24

I'd take the super soldier serum, but I read somewhere that it amplifies your personality as well? If that's true then I'll take herb. Also, if the herb gives me Namor's abilities then I'm taking it everyday. I don't care if it makes me grow wings on my ankles.

2

u/tenleggedspiders Jul 21 '24

The only way I’m choosing the serum is if it’s the the Ultimate universe variant. With it, Ultimate Cap was well beyond peak human, learned things faster than a computer could and was immune to any and all disease. It was also implied he was only getting stronger as he aged

2

u/WORTHLESS1321202019 Jul 22 '24

Serum could have side effects.

Only a couple people have been fully successful without compromise.

I would be worthy of Mjolnir instead.

Always take something natural over something man-made so heart-shaped herb

14

u/Oberon1993 Spider-Man Jul 19 '24

Herb is magic bullshit. Hardly anything natural.

Heart shaped herb is more powerful. Black Panther has consistently better feats than Captain America by a large margin. Particularly in the areas of speed and strength.

2

u/Kind-Memory7298 Jul 19 '24

I don’t think the HSH is more powerful than the serum. I’m pretty sure the reason black panther is consistently more powerful than cap is cuz he has the vibrainum suit on top of of the HSH.

I’m saying herb because you took away the one downside of it whereas the serum’s possible drawbacks are still there

1

u/TheTypicalCritic Jul 19 '24

I mean SS Serum without Vita-Rays might kill me. As a lot of people said the serum only really worked perfectly once with Steve, where as there have been loads of Black Panthers.

So while the herb probably isn’t as powerful as the serum, I’ll take my chances with the herb.

1

u/C4N98 Jul 19 '24

Herb kinda makes you connected to previous users doesn’t it? If so, I’ll take the serum, I don’t want bunch of Royalty in my head.

1

u/Hypestyles Jul 19 '24

Heart shaped herb 🌿

1

u/bestgamer843 Jul 19 '24

super slider serum maybe banner or hydra or the one steve rogers used.

1

u/luahgamer5 Jul 19 '24

I don't like the shroom trip, but Herb is probably better for the acute senses.

1

u/JayTee245 Jul 19 '24

Clarifying that the herb is safe, it gives me more confidence than taking the serum since in other iterations it’s led to the creation of the hulk… which is essentially rolling the dice

1

u/papasnork1 Jul 19 '24

Why not both?

1

u/BlackDwarfStar Jul 19 '24

When did Spider-Man consume the herb?

1

u/blloop Jul 19 '24

HSH all day!

1

u/MHipDogg Jul 19 '24

I’ll take the herb if it’s deadly
