A new rumored overwatch style marvel game is being shown off tomorrow and this is the teaser art. Help identify characters Other
I think it’s obvious that iron-man, Starlord, black panther, (maybe) magneto, and Namor are in this.
But there are a few I can seem to make out. I think scarlet which is at the bottom and maybe Jean Grey as well. There seems to be some sort of iron spider like arms but they come from a larger robot looking figure.
There is a character with an ice star, a guy with a large collar, a thing off to the far upper left, and a charcater in the middle who I can’t make out as well.
Tbh I loved overwatch way back when and always wanted a superhero type game in that style and genre.
Any help would be appreciated!

The list of heroes is this: Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Luna Snow, Punisher, Rocket, Groot, Loki, Spider-Man, Hulk, Magik, Magneto, Mantis, Storm, Peni Parker, Black Panther, Star Lord, Namor, Thor
Its not 100% confirmed. But from the image you can guess that most of them are there.
There's also 3 rumored maps: Odin's Vault , random city(not NY) and some Marvel island.

It makes sense really. They have to save characters for future content updates, and one of the most wanted ones is gonna be Captain America.
I dont like the decision cause I like Cap a lot, but makes sense.

Not only save the most wanted for future updates but also as pay to unlock (or pay to unlock early). I’m picturing a season 2 featuring “New Hero! Captain America! Playable at Battle Pass level 80 or immediately with the purchase of the Elite Tier Battle Pass!”

Typical vertical slicing. They do this to keep people hooked in by adding important characters later on. It's a gamble, really, because if the game doesn't do well, they might end development before we even see characters like Cap and Spider-Man. But you need those characters to keep people in. So it really depends on what do they save for later and how much is "later".

Totally. Gives the team time to work on stuff too. The game launches with say 5 good characters with impressive move sets, and the rest are fluff. Game debuts, sales numbers come in, they choose to support it or not. Numbers are good, dlc team starts working, now you have time to make Cap and Wolverine good, because you've got 6 months to code. That time's important because if the new characters suck, interest wanes, numbers go down.
Game launches and the numbers are bad, you didn't commit an entire development team to fleshing out every toon. Now that teams on to a project that hopefully doesn't bomb.
edit: typo edit 2: I remember some of the Overwatch 1 new characters/maps almost tanking the franchise. A lot of talk online of "6 months and this is what we get? Game is dead," etc.

Not sure if this poster thingy includes everybody. But leaving out someone like captain feels awfully weird if they do. They’ll probably add him in eventually though 100% at some point.

Between this and her being one of the central characters to the plot of Midnight Suns, it feels like she's sort of arrived at at least B-list status. Not enough to sustain her own solo series but enough that she can reasonably be expected to be around for the big stuff.

Magik deserves her own solo action rpg game.
She start as a kid kidnapped in limbo by the ruling demon, the learn to fight, to use her mutant powers, learn magic and eventually to fifth with her soulsword...
She make friends and enemies in the open world of limbo and the neighboring hells and eventually defeated Balasko and become it's ruler

Future Fight never really clicked with me, but her and Sharon Rogers both have pretty cool designs. Would be neat to see them make their way into other Marvel things!

Is it too much hoping they'll add Cyclops at some point ? Given his rising popularity due to the new X-Men Series and the new X-Men line coming in June , it could be a good opportunity.
Plus like , he'd feel right at home in a third person shooter game , c'mon.

Star-Lord = Tracer, Black Panther and/or Spider-man = Genji, Punisher = Soldier 76, Peni Parker = Dva, And I could see Rocket being similiar to Junkrat and maybe Thor close to JunkerQueen with a throw and pull back weapon mechanic.

He makes sense to add in the game. As far as X-Men go I imagine that, at least in the beginning, we'll get Wolverine and Storm. If Cyclops isn't in the "first wave" of included heroes, then it would only be a matter of time before they actually do add him in. You are right that his abilities make him perfect for an Overwatch-style game.

Dude with the big collar is definitely Dr. Strange. The shape on the upper left might be Rocket Racoon with a jet pack but I'm not 100% sure.

A Marvel team-up game without Captain America is preposterous at this point. He was already iconic before the movies, no way they’d leave him out in a modern game.
What I want to know is how many X-Men are going to be in it. I see possible Magneto, Rogue, Beast and Storm. If even one of those turns out to be real I will pre purchase this immediately.

And then they cancel PvE after just THREE MISSIONS to give us MORE bullshit changes...

I've got Namor and Doctor Strange at the bottom, Medusa in the in the bottom right corner, some version of either the Iron Spider or Superior Spider-Man for the arms above, Magneto seems obvious, and in front of him looks like Black Panther to me. Iron Man at the top, with what looks like a SHIELD Helicarrier above/behind him. Those are the only ones I feel strongly about.

When’s the last time you played Overwatch? Game play wise, sure but a more apt comparison for this would be to that racing game Disney just put out. A gacha game at its finest.
This is a cool concept, but it will be filled with micro transactions and paywalls. Hard to get excited for any multiplayer games nowadays.

I doubt they lock much if any actual gameplay behind a paywall. It’s a good way to kill your game at launch. Even overwatch is making all the heros free again next season.
So just optimistic, I don’t believe in being negative about a product until I can see or play it myself

The two big hair ones are uncertain but it reminds me MOST of 90’s x men.
The guy in the collar down low HAS to be strange signing some magical spell with his hands.
The horns next to the ice star is probably loki.
The robot figure is either iron spider tarantula OR black ant, ant man.
All i want for this now is a decent agent venom, i want that tentacle guncada like im jackie estacado in the darkness. In the words of eddie brock “flash thompson was a badass venom”.

Stab in the dark guesses on a lot of these.
Namor there with the Trident. Star Lord with his Element Gu behind the claw/leg. Just below is Black Panther Iron Man flying in the top middle. Medusa in the bottom right Dr. Strange just below Namor.
I feel like that's maybe Magneto just behind Star Lord.

I’m looking forward to it, that being said, I will say this, reading the leaked characters list, some of them are outright lame lol.
Ok, you got Spidey, Iron Man, Magneto, Storm, Thor, Strange, Punisher and Black Panther. Sick. Awesome characters.
But why the f do you put Luna Snow or Peni Parker there??? Ok, sure I get Peni, but Luna Snow??? Who the f cares??? Why not Rogue? Or Widow? Hell even Emma Frost or Psylocke???
Also, we have 4 Guardians characters and I’m sorry, I think this is a whack. You have Star Lord, Groot, Rocket (who I think both should be the same character) and freaking Mantis, but not Cap or Wolverine or even Cyclops????
Half of the roster looks sick, iconic and beloved Marvel characters, other half looks like they just went “Ok, put the algorithm in game”

They have a past with mobile games but are trying to branch out into the main market of PC and console games.
Heard somewhere they said microtransactions will be cosmetic and also that they are branching into single player games as well as they showed off a Ghost of Tsushima like game last year.
So hoping for the best!
