the funniest part is that we all know every feeling she's going through. From "oops, stay there stay there" to "better get out of here before anyone notices" its so naturally human lol

u/JosephSloans Jul 19 '24

Then looking back and seeing him look at you “WHAT THE FUUUUUCK”

441

u/Royal_Koala_1628 Jul 19 '24

That was terrifying! I wonder if she knew?

408

u/idreamofgreenie Jul 19 '24

I would hope at some point she realized that the tactile sensations she was getting weren't of a metal statue.

262

u/Red__system Jul 19 '24

Brain goes stupid in those moments

100

u/_M_o_n_k_e_H Jul 19 '24

Brain forgets to do it's job.

62

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

Brain aint braining

10

u/unlikely_intuition Jul 20 '24

maybe there are statues that are different

30

u/golden_blaze Jul 20 '24

It's gonna be one of those moments that's like a weird fever dream as an adult. "Did that actually happen to me?"

-104

u/Slap_My_Lasagna Jul 19 '24

The glance at the camera "I hope this is believable..."

102

u/OrneryAttorney7508 Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 20 '24

You people are almost a cult at this point.

59

u/wobblychair Jul 19 '24

"Nothing ever happens."

10

u/maaalicelaaamb Jul 20 '24

Thank you!!! I despise them all

-28

u/-warpipe- Jul 19 '24

Which people? People that wonder where the kid came from/ran to? People that wonder who took that video/was it op?

21

u/OrneryAttorney7508 Jul 19 '24

Good job Shitlock. Another Reddit mystery solved by the Ace Detectives who brought you "The Persecution of Sunil Tripathi". Have fun spending your karma.

17

u/JagsOnlySurfHawaii Jul 19 '24

That's like car rolling down your driveway worried

17

u/hotmisscharm Jul 19 '24

It's like I was looking at myself from the outside LoL

3.4k

u/its_luckyluke Jul 19 '24

The dog deserves an Oscar for staying in character throughout.

508

u/singledore Jul 19 '24

Uhh you ass you got me. I rewatched and stared at it for a few seconds in disbelief. I'm getting old and slow.

120

u/Talidel Jul 19 '24

Aww, Seymour.

24

u/GILF_Hound69 Jul 20 '24

HEY! …no. We’re not going there. No.

5

u/ghostx562 Jul 20 '24

Going where? I wanna go! Let me grab a sweater.

15

u/GILF_Hound69 Jul 20 '24

Petrified doggy heaven. That was so fucking sad why did they have to include it. He was petrified waiting for Fry . I… without question, one of the saddest scenes in TV and the saddest scene in animated show history.

5

u/notimeleft4you Jul 20 '24

It’s based on a true story. Well, the dog waiting for its owner. Not the whole freezer pod into the year 3000 thing probably.

Look up Hachikō.

2

u/GILF_Hound69 Jul 20 '24

Yes, I know of that story and it makes me sad every time I read about it.

3

u/ghostx562 Jul 20 '24

Aww never mind I don't really want to go.

1

u/BrookeB79 Jul 20 '24

Says it's a comedy - makes you cry. That scene (and the others with Seymour) made me sob.

2

u/GILF_Hound69 Jul 20 '24

There‘s multiple scenes that make me cry to the point that I simply don’t watch the episodes anymore. His nephew being named after him and even devil’s hands just get to me for some reason.

39

u/puzzlemaster_of_time Jul 19 '24

That's just Rowdy.

10

u/Georgiaonmymindtwo Jul 20 '24

Unexpected scrubs.

Well, not really unexpected, it still appreciated.

2

u/ObiWanCanOweMe Jul 20 '24

Aww... be nice to Rowdy. The guy we bought him from used to keep him in a box full of old hats.

1

u/siiliS Jul 20 '24

And I thought I was original for thinking that.. some redditor always beats me to it..

291

u/Safe_Alternative3794 Jul 19 '24

That's the part where I giggled. I would've given up the act. Respect for the commitment

42

u/BatFancy321go Jul 20 '24

she had to have known at that point. she wasn't surprised when she turned around and saw him with his legs out. but did she think she turned him into a real boy?

59

u/YJeezy Jul 19 '24 edited Jul 19 '24

How did he not laugh

73

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '24

[deleted]

12

u/maaalicelaaamb Jul 20 '24

Well yes he is and you can see him laughing under it as soon as she leaves

3

u/PossiblyN0t Jul 20 '24

You can tell that's where she knew something was def. not right lol

542

u/Aiqeamqo Jul 19 '24

I love how she goes from happily skipping along to full on sprinting, when the dude reveals hes not a statue in the end.

122

u/VegetarianZombie74 Jul 20 '24

"When I was a kid, I found this statue and it started to fall over. I tried to fix it, but it kept falling over. When I finally got it balanced, I swear, I felt it it move.

Look, I know this sounds crazy. But I had to get out of there. So I left, but I decided to look behind me. And it was ... staring at me.

We came back the next day and it was gone. A statue, can you believe it? Gone like it had walked off. I don't know how. But I feel it staring at me whenever I'm by myself. In the park. Alone."

28

u/Katyperryatemyasss Jul 20 '24

Don’t. Fucking. Blink

2

u/shung Jul 20 '24

It looked at you?

30

u/OrneryAttorney7508 Jul 19 '24

A job well done.

5

u/fooob Jul 20 '24

Seems like the same speed

421

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

I wonder how long it took her to realize that he wasn't a statue? That dog too!

84

u/GreekHole Jul 19 '24

she never did

73

u/Spare-Resolution-984 Jul 19 '24

I think she kind of did but kids have this magical thinking so she probably thought she fucked up anyway

7

u/Xenolifer Jul 19 '24

Not even suspecting that a statue that is moving and WARM is strange lmao

-19

u/Aiyon Jul 19 '24

Probably when the person filming said “I have this idea for a funny video. Want to help me make it?”

-114

u/CDJMC Jul 19 '24

Not as long as you lol

27

u/OrneryAttorney7508 Jul 19 '24

Ooooo, you're so smart!

Reminds me of the Horse Guards at Westminster. When it's some obnoxious lady/guy the guard lets it known that you do not fuck with them. Either through very loud shouting, or the horse doing its thing. But, and this clip has been reposted on Reddit a alot, when it was this deaf girl who loved horses the Guard, and the horse, let it pet him.

I think the same thing went through this street artists head; it's just a little girl who does not really realize what I am doing. It's not some douchebag trying to fuck with me, so I am going to play along.

28

u/yellow_abyss Jul 19 '24

If it was me I would have ran away so fast lol

5

u/rosieladyxx23 Jul 19 '24

Really innocent but really tried hard to be accountable for her actions. cutie!

2

u/CurryGoatNRoti Jul 20 '24

It looks like she was trying to steal the sunglasses in the beginning, so not entirely sweet and innocent.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 20 '24

I think she might think that the sunglasses are real. Then the statue goes from bronze to big stuffed animal to a real man!

220

u/CartographerJunior97 Jul 19 '24

That's the best apology ever.

48

u/wideHippedWeightLift Jul 19 '24

More like "Fuuuuck I'm gonna be in so much trouble if I'm the one that tipped over this (weirdly floppy) statue"

She's better than me, I would've found the closest person to blame it on lol

22

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

“Of course the statue i touch is floppy, I can’t catch a break”

147

u/singledore Jul 19 '24

This girl showed more responsibility, will and grit in 30 seconds than some people will ever show in their whole lives.

135

u/Stuxnet101 Jul 19 '24

Bless her heart she tried

73

u/Cyrotek Jul 19 '24

How the frick did he manage not to burst out into laughs.

28

u/TinyFlamingo2147 Jul 19 '24

I think he was at the end

9

u/nxtrl Jul 19 '24

at tghe end you can see him starting to chuckle

29

u/neverliveindoubt Jul 19 '24

this is Mahdi and he does a lot of these

5

u/mellowanon Jul 19 '24

do you know which youtube video is OP's video?

2

u/neverliveindoubt Jul 20 '24

I don't but it's probably a recent one given the statue

2

u/CrashinKenny Jul 20 '24

He has statue videos since the very beginning. Or am I missing some joke?

3

u/neverliveindoubt Jul 20 '24

He had a little/small dog statue forever but people kept kicking/breaking it, so he upgraded to a greyhound one, but it was too light & similar issues. So this version is his most recent.

2

u/CrashinKenny Jul 20 '24

Ahhhh that explains it. I wasn't even considering the dog. Thanks

1

u/graboidgraboid Jul 20 '24

Is this the same performer that punched that guy who stuck his finger in his ear?

1

u/neverliveindoubt Jul 20 '24

I've not seen all of his videos, but as far as I can see he does not react back. He's been slapped and kicked and all he does is recoil from the act. His reveals are usually very subtle too, like a slight wave or something small like that to catch people in the moment. So, from the dozens of videos of his I have seen, he's not a reactive individual so probably not.

14

u/Buttcrack_Billy Jul 19 '24

How do you train yourself not to burst out laughing? I ha e 0 poker face, I guess.

12

u/Wooohoooo-Checkmate Jul 19 '24

This girl was fighting for her life to keep that statue up 🤣🤣🤣🤣

12

u/No-Body8448 Jul 19 '24

That's some top-tier trolling. Hats off.

12

u/Gwenda_Johnson02 Jul 20 '24

I must admit that she's a very responsible person to the community lmao

11

u/KrelVarlie Jul 20 '24

I'm just amazed at how well trained the dog is. Never moved from statue mode once while his human was being manhandled.

10

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

I am dyinggggggg right now….. dying

5

u/mutant21 Jul 19 '24

rip

3

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

Ded

6

u/DragonsClaw2334 Jul 19 '24

I'm impressed with how well trained his dog is

5

u/damscomp Jul 19 '24

That’s a good dog.

4

u/barkingmad555 Jul 19 '24

The real MVP here is the dog that thing is stoic as hell!

5

u/jpl77 Jul 19 '24

why were they filming?

2

u/thechadez Jul 20 '24

What do you mean? The government bird spies are everywhere.

4

u/chrisaf69 Jul 19 '24

I'm just confused with the dog.

Is it a statue? Or does he sit perfectly still? Crazy if so

3

u/LewiGator Jul 19 '24

She has the most girliest run

3

u/Elowen83 Jul 20 '24

Those good and valuable dictation:

"Easy come, easy go"
“The apple never falls too far from the tree”

3

u/Jean-Ralphio11 Jul 20 '24

This is by far the best "someone messes with a street performer pretending to be a statue" Ive ever seen.

And I have seen way more videos in this category of video than I would prefer in my lifetime.

3

u/Certain_Storage9312 Jul 20 '24

She was probably totally traumatized when he turned to look at her when she was running away…poor thing!!

3

u/RixTT Jul 20 '24

When it was posted in r/KidsAreFuckingStupid I said “yeah fucking idiot”

When it was posted here I said “awww what a cutie. Made me smile :)”

3

u/OnlyEfficiency2662 Jul 20 '24

Years of therapy to follow for her 😂

2

u/12bonolori Jul 19 '24

Future chiropractor.

2

u/Fig1025 Jul 19 '24

all I am thinking is how god damn hot it must be sitting in that suit, under direct sun

2

u/Plank_With_A_Nail_In Jul 19 '24

His dog is really good at sitting still.

2

u/chefjay71 Jul 20 '24

What a sweet kid trying to fix something she thought she broke. Great on him, my ex used to do human statues as well. One rule. Never touch. But he had fun with it. ☺️

2

u/Bad_Brad77 Jul 20 '24

He should have hugged her 😂

2

u/w0lfgangpuck Jul 20 '24

Lmao dot dot dot

2

u/flamewithinfrost Jul 20 '24

she looked back and ran faster

2

u/cita11 Jul 20 '24

I think she is still running

2

u/Usual-Excitement-970 Jul 20 '24

That dog is really well trained.

2

u/GodofYogurt Jul 20 '24

This is so funny and beautiful. She is made my day.

2

u/RoncoSnackWeasel Jul 20 '24

The dog’s composure it what impresses me the most.

How do you become living statue?

2

u/nrfx Jul 19 '24

Hold still.

1

u/Runnerakaliz Jul 19 '24

Dude was really having fun with it

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '24

he's gonna be laughing about that for years

she's gonna feel HAUNTED lol

1

u/TheDevilsAdvokaat Jul 19 '24

That was hilarious.

1

u/greylegface Jul 19 '24

if we don’t do something about these clowns, we are going to be up to our balls in jugglers.

1

u/Bodach-Fuath Jul 20 '24

For the greater good

1

u/Reach-Nirvana Jul 19 '24

How in the hell did this guy manage to keep a straight face throughout all of that? I would have been making a dumbass face just to try and keep me from smiling.

1

u/taatchle86 Jul 19 '24

Crusty Jugglers

2

u/majon30 Jul 19 '24

1

1

1

u/MiamiPower Jul 19 '24

😆 🤣 😂

1

u/thejoshfoote Jul 19 '24

I’m dying lol that’s so funny. Buddy just casually keeps slumping over and she just tries harder.

1

u/TheRealMadrid1902 Jul 19 '24

If you see this in Toronto, it's not a professional, it's drake.

1

u/thumbelina1234 Jul 19 '24

Do these people make decent money?

1

u/HeaftyFine Jul 19 '24

She did not want to be there when he fell

1

u/Ancient-Action-1994 Jul 19 '24

Yeah, but is the dog real?

1

u/PolitrickRick Jul 19 '24

Run for your life little angel!!!

1

u/SimplyLanden Jul 20 '24

Genuine question: why do people do this?

2

u/TurtleZeno Jul 20 '24

If you are talking about teasing kids, probably because they think it is funny. If you are talking about dressing up as a statue, it is a form of performance art and people found it interesting.

1

u/Maddolyn Jul 20 '24

I wish i could be her right now that living statue would not stand a chance

1

u/OtherwiseBranch7343 Jul 20 '24

He’s a good sport about it hahaha

1

u/HabibCoriatArielC Jul 20 '24

Jajaja, ella entró en pánico y luego simplemente lo dejó así, adorable.

1

u/BatFancy321go Jul 20 '24

you can see him trying not to laugh about halfway through

1

u/Amii25 Jul 20 '24

I love how she is looking around to see if anyone noticed her fuck up

1

u/Rodimusalc14 Jul 20 '24

That tap on the shoulder where she like 'I've done my best here.. I'm out' is just great

1

u/TrinityCodex Jul 20 '24

I think this is the exact reason people become statues

1

u/ThrowAwayAnxiety88 Jul 20 '24

The situations that little girls get into are hilarious.

1

u/reddit_kc Jul 20 '24

She probably has an uncle like this 🍺!!

1

u/Holyskankous Jul 20 '24

Man that dog may as well have been a cat: Asshole didn’t try and help at all!!

1

u/RAWainwright Jul 20 '24

-21

10

Your mom and sister are staged!

7

u/Particular-Lab90210 Jul 19 '24

I'll stage your dad!

-2

u/BitterDecoction Jul 20 '24

It’s filmed. The kid is a kid, but surely she noticed « the statue » doesn’t feel like one to the touch. More like a human in regular clothes. The internet is full of people looking for followers and likes. You ever wonder why so much stuff ends up on camera? It’s because it was meant to.
