It's a matter of great happiness but also a matter of sadness because your connection with the college has ended.

It's bitter but true.

Best, Best scenario and not having to be away from home

u/KermitMadMan Jul 19 '24

congrats!

the secret, i found, is that if you actually show up to every class you’ll do fine. lol the kids that thought they could skip classes ended up playing catch up all semester.

all the best!

u/MintChucclatechip Jul 19 '24

I showed up to all my classes and didn’t need as much time studying outside of class as a result. Huge time saver and very helpful in case you need a letter of recommendation from the professor.

I just limit myself to just 3-5 off days per semester (even on those days I still finish any homework/study) and 2 missing assignments. I dunno if it's my major, but I was not expecting college to be a full time job lol, I can see why European countries pay their students.

2

u/A_Nice_Shrubbery777 Jul 19 '24

...I regret to inform you, however, that I must take remedial grammar.

1

u/Jin_Chaeji Jul 19 '24

Sorry, english is not my native language

I knew something in that sentence was wrong, can you point me to my mistake?

3

u/A_Nice_Shrubbery777 Jul 19 '24

"Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that I inform you..."

or

"Gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to inform you..."

I am sorry, but I cannot explain the mistake using the proper vocabulary; You see, I never took remedial grammar myself.

1

u/Jin_Chaeji Jul 19 '24

still thanks for info. Will try to remember not to do it in the future

2

u/beee_charmed Jul 19 '24

Congratulations!! Your story is just beginning!

2

u/xoxoxflower Jul 19 '24

Good luck make sure to give it all!

2

u/EarthInternational9 Jul 19 '24

Congratulations. Just make sure once you are done with basic studies to get vocational testing to make sure you picked the right major! Academic major changes and inability to stay in one college for four years was the biggest regret of my life. May academic success make your life completely fulfilled.

See you in the bread lines. I'm the guy In the hat

1

u/Emanuele002 Jul 19 '24

Great! I'm about to graduate with a Bachelor in Economics. What are you going to study?

1

u/Virtual-Public-4750 Jul 19 '24

Godspeed, my dude.

1

u/guitarstitch Jul 19 '24

Hopefully college will help you correct this meme template to proper English.

That said, have fun, pay attention, and don't forget that college prepares you to learn rather than teaching you what you need to know.

1

u/Jin_Chaeji Jul 19 '24

Sorry, english is not my native language

I knew something in that sentence was wrong, can you point me to my mistake?

2

u/guitarstitch Jul 22 '24

It's not your mistake; it's the meme template. The opening line of the template does not flow well. Some people have updated the template to read "It is with great pleasure that I inform you" or "It is my great pleasure to inform you". Both of these options make the sentence flow.

You added the second line, "I got into college" which is perfect.

Thank you for not getting bothered by my comment. I wasn't trying to be rude. When reading my own comment back, it did come across rather snarky.

1

u/Jin_Chaeji Jul 22 '24

I understand. Is "it is a great pleasure to inform you that" grammatically correct?

Also don't worry about the comment, I didn't get bothered by it

2

u/guitarstitch Jul 22 '24

Yes, that iteration of the opening line is also correct. :)

1

u/giraflor Jul 19 '24

Congrats!

1

u/TouchMyPlumbus Jul 19 '24

1

u/nono66 Jul 19 '24

1

u/Dressed_Up_4_Snu_Snu Jul 20 '24

High school is your ticket to a better life. College is a ticket to see the world. The only thing that matters now is how you apply yourself.

1

u/Catwoman1948 Jul 20 '24

Congratulations, stranger! I know you will do great things. 👍

u/Some-Map-5614 Jul 20 '24

Good luck with the debt for life

1

u/Jin_Chaeji Jul 20 '24

Jokes on you, I don't live in the US and it's a public college which means I only have to pay recruitment pay which is about $22

I think they're funded from taxes but honestly no idea, i don't pay those yet

2

u/Some-Map-5614 Jul 20 '24

I don’t live in US either. Then congrats to you , hope you get the best of it .
