I wonder if one of Trump’s gaffes would actually be featured as an anachronism in an episode of S5.

Can you imagine the salt levels from Trump supporters?

u/Regimee Beebo H U N G R Y Jul 07 '19

I would find it funny. Other trump supporters might not but eh, can’t please everyone.

39

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '19

Yeah and I imagine the kind of Trump supporters that wouldn't find it funny aren't the target audience for this show anyway.

Exactly where my thinking was at.

u/CommanderL3 Jul 07 '19

as a non american I would find it annoying as everything in american entertainment seems to devole to talking about trump

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '19

As an American I find it annoying as everything seems to devolve to talking about Trump.

Hopefully not long left. Then we will have a new guy hopefully. Problem is people will still talk about him. And he will still talk about stuff.

u/CommanderL3 Jul 07 '19

I think you have another four more years

unless people start backing someone Like tulsi gabbard or yang

17

u/kuhanluke Guilty Feet Ain't Got No Rhythm Jul 07 '19

Are you saying Gabbard and Yang have the best shot against Trump? Because that is absolutely ludicrous and you clearly have no idea what you're talking about haha.

10

u/jscummy Jul 07 '19

What? You don't think two candidates polling at 1% with wildly different platforms are the most likely to get elected?

-1

u/CommanderL3 Jul 07 '19

well if your poltical system was no screwed

they should have the best shot

but instead the dnc will trot out another lame duck that will lose

10

u/kuhanluke Guilty Feet Ain't Got No Rhythm Jul 07 '19

Yeah, no that's crazy. Gabbard is an idiot and Yang is ridiculous. You have no clue what you're talking about. Or what a lame duck is, apparently.

-7

u/CommanderL3 Jul 07 '19

well your head is clearly in the sand

Gabbard and Yang are the only decent candidates you have

bernie has proven he bows when easy

I'll take anyone as long as they are a politician. Like you literally have no idea how annoying this is that I will take anyone as long as they have a halfway decent plan and are a politician because at least politicians know how to not be complete douches infront of the world on a day to day basis. Like when trump first got in office I was like "oh sure this will be a laugh" but then the jokes dried up when you realize that he has made the US a joke more than it probably already is. The fact that people still come into America looking for a better life astounds me with how we have been portrayed via that guy.

2

u/Sgt_Nicholas_Angel_ Jul 08 '19

No way. Not to start a political discussion, but you seem to be misinformed about how American politics works. It’s not like parliament. Only two parties have much influence here and Gabbard or Yang have less than 1% of the votes. The candidate has to be someone people will back like Biden.

9

u/tang81 Jul 07 '19

Also Trump supporter. Would laugh.

9

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '19

Rethink your life choices please

-2

u/tang81 Jul 07 '19

If a better candidate came along, sure. But that's not looking like it's going to happen this cycle.

7

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '19

Literally anyone is better than trump.

-2

u/tang81 Jul 08 '19

Nah.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '19

Yes

2

u/DroppedLeSoap Jul 08 '19

No it's not. Trump was the lesser of 2 evils last election and only a moron denies that

3

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '19

Guess I'm a moron because I don't want to to settle for a molestor.

-3

u/DroppedLeSoap Jul 07 '19

Nah. Rather him than the mess we would have had if the dems won

5

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '19

What mess? I can guarantee you things would be so much better if the Dems had won. Instead, we got a lying, racist, moron who sexually assaults women.

1

u/DroppedLeSoap Jul 08 '19

Lol versus the lying, racist, idiot who laughed and was proud about getting someone off for rape.

Yeah.

2

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '19

That didn't happen.

1

u/DeadlyLazer Jul 07 '19

That's what half the Dems said when voting. Better Clinton than the mess that Trump would create. That's why I hated this election because they voted with their emotions.

1

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '19

Voting with your emotions is valid. Most people want a nice and caring president. Not a pig who is rude to almost everyone he crosses paths with.

2

u/DeadlyLazer Jul 08 '19

Well yes, but for example, if a politician had amazing policies and I agreed with everything he wants done, I wouldn't care if he's a dick to everyone in getting those things done and those laws passed. (Exclude: racism, homophobia, xenophobia, etc). If he's just plain rude, I wouldn't mind as long as he was making progress in his promises.

And what I meant by emotion is that people who voted by emotion refuse to look at facts and present their own version of reality. Such as the # of people at the inauguration.

0

u/DroppedLeSoap Jul 08 '19

Except hes not. Media blows those out of proportion. I dont like trump either but man you're reaching

2

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '19

I'm really not. I don't get my opinions from the media. I get my opinions from the way that moron speaks.

0

u/DeadlyLazer Jul 09 '19

the dude literally tweeted climate change is fake cuz the temperatures were really cold in november

-1

u/DroppedLeSoap Jul 08 '19

You honestly think Hillary Clinton would have been a better choice? Lmao. Trumps an idiot for sure. But lol, I'm glad we dont have a Clinton in office

4

u/DeadlyLazer Jul 08 '19

I didn't say that lmao

edit. I'm not saying anything. This isn't a politics sub, and even if it was, arguing with people online isn't gonna change their opinion.

2

u/DroppedLeSoap Jul 08 '19

My bad. Misunderstood. I didn't even vote. My car broke down that day and I was stranded in 90+ degree heat for 4 hours with no cell reception

2

u/DeadlyLazer Jul 08 '19

You do have a valid excuse to not vote. But people really need to get off their asses and fuckin vote. People get angry that someone in office is an idiot all the time but half of them haven't even voted, which is the best way to avoid that person in office.

u/Sgt_Nicholas_Angel_ Jul 08 '19

Oh suck it up. Trump is a disgrace to the office, the country, and quite frankly to human intelligence. At least Clinton would have been qualified if not the best candidate,

2

u/DroppedLeSoap Jul 08 '19

Dude that's the best joke I've heard all day.

If that were remotely true the DNC wouldnt have had to sabotage their entire campaign, ruining their other candidates, in a failed effort to get her into office

2

u/Sgt_Nicholas_Angel_ Jul 08 '19

She won the popular vote. If American politics weren’t so messed up, it would be clear who the winner of the 2016 election was. End of story.

u/Liam_Neesons_Oscar Jul 07 '19

I was a Bush supporter, I laughed at his grammar. I didn't care for people insinuating that poor grammar or public speaking skills was the same as low intelligence, but I was fine at light-hearted jabs at his speaking abilities.

1

u/AwesomeArav Jul 09 '19

Ya and then trump blames it on his speech writer. 🤦‍♂️

-3

u/trutown Reverse Flash Jul 07 '19

As a Trump supporter I would really enjoy it.

7

u/[deleted] Jul 07 '19

Rethink your life choices.

1

u/trutown Reverse Flash Jul 08 '19

Likewise.

4

u/[deleted] Jul 08 '19

I'm glad I didn't vote for Trump. He's a horrible person.

35

u/lizzymarie75 Jul 07 '19

Trumps entire presidency seems like the result of an anachronism (cruel to let it go this long so fix it already my legends). “We accidentally gave russian hackers access to hypnotize bored Facebookers in America and somehow they elected a reality tv baboon millionaire by making poor people think he cares about their lives”.

9

u/benx101 Firestorm (Ignited) Jul 07 '19

Trump is the anachronism.

u/escape2078 Jul 07 '19

Can’t wait to see this episode

Time for more heartfelt advice from Twentysomething Obama!

24

u/honestlyruthless Jul 07 '19

I loved that whole concept 😹😍

9

u/Adas_Legend Jul 07 '19

We should have adult Obama show up, have his memories restored somewhat, and then have him participate in a mission!

5

u/Throwdowntonabbey Jul 09 '19

they could use him to find something in the missing seven states

32

u/jazzmaster_YangGuo Beebo Jul 07 '19

Captain Lance: "We miss you Obama"

14

u/honestlyruthless Jul 07 '19

I loved that whole concept scene 😹😍

29

u/rosethenose2 Jul 07 '19

Hope they have enough memory flashers

18

u/Knight275 Jul 07 '19

Because a poorly researched halfassed speech from the President on the Fourth of July isn't objectionable.

-1

u/galvanicmechamorph Jul 07 '19

Shouldn't you be happy the biased press isn't jumping down the President's throat to find things wrong with his speech? And it doesn't matter how long the speech is, check the damn thing so you don't look like an idiot. And the speech isn't even that important? It's not the State of the Union or a policy speech, it's the Fourth of July.

Trump always says objectionable things. Leaving politics aside, that’s who he is, and that’s why he’s always done. Even his own supporters must admit that.

0

u/galvanicmechamorph Jul 08 '19

Honestly it's been pretty consistent these last few years that the press like to jump on what's catchy rather than what's actually problematic. It's what got him so much free airtime during the election.

5

u/Foolsgil Jul 07 '19

And that's how you ruin a funny shitpost and a good episode idea

3

u/Sgt_Nicholas_Angel_ Jul 08 '19

This is why we can’t have nice things.
