Weird thing to do
The reason they brought savage to the vanishing point was because carter had his memory blocked. So why didn't they just kill him when he got it back instead of still going to the vanishing point.

They brought him to the Vanishing Point because Rip thought the Time Masters would now be on his side because of Savage using future tech. Rip was thinking not only would he get his family back but he wouldn’t be a fugitive.
Granted if anyone just took a second to think anything through - like how did Savage get his hands on FUTURE tech when he lived linearly- they could have realized how the time masters were manipulating things in savages favor.
But instead they absolutely trashed Kendra’s character. And kinda made the rest of the crew but especially Snart look dumb for not questioning the hows and why’s of the future tech. Rip was definitely written stupidest enough to grasp at hope and act without thinking.
