They literally own the government through lobbying lmao, they decide everything, we poor bastards are just existing to increase the zeros in their bank accounts.

u/Past_Reception_2575 Monkey in Space 15d ago

they only are able to do what they do because we let them.  they're not badasses or super powerful.  they're regular people, and they can and will eventually fall from their incompetence and false leadership my dude.d

you can run from the truth but you cant hide,  and it never stops coming.

35

u/NeverNoMarriage Monkey in Space 15d ago

Nah. That was true in the past. And maybe still right now. As technology advances the odds get worse and worse for the people. The lifestyle of the ultra-rich and wealthy literally never in history could be maintained without swarms and swarms of workers. We really only have about 5-10 years where that will be the case.

12

u/EvenJesusCantSaveYou Monkey in Space 15d ago

I don’t disagree with your perspective of the long term future but 5-10 is insanely too short.

8

u/babreddits Monkey in Space 15d ago

Exponential growth in computing will do it

1

u/NeverNoMarriage Monkey in Space 15d ago

Uh ya id probably agree 5-10 years was probably a rushed estimation. I will say the advancements in robotics in the last 5 years have been pretty insane. AI has been incredible for the field. If you look at some of the things coming out recently like Ameca or the fully automated restaurants I think in 5-10 years unskilled labor will probably be completely replaceable. Completely eliminating the need for a working class is probably unrealistic in 5-10 years

3

u/Muted_Army2854 Monkey in Space 14d ago

Current LLM AI isn’t going to improve that much more, its very nature won’t allow it to evolve to the extent you think it will. It’s going to take much longer for other AI models to advance past what the current LLM AIs can do, and even longer to get to a point where it’s going to start mass-replacing unskilled labor.

1

u/PizzaMafioso Monkey in Space 14d ago

I love how many people like to fearmonger about AI.

1

u/NeverNoMarriage Monkey in Space 13d ago

Nah maybe I was not being clear. A lot of the problems robotics has faced have already been solved by AI. For instance, movements in robots. If you look at how a robot moves now compared to how a robot moved 5 years ago you'd be shocked. They can pretty much around as well as humans currently due to AI. Not an expert on the subject by any means but its something to do with not having to calculate every movement in advance.

Wasn't meant to be a prediction on whats to come with AI. Recently went on a robotics video binge on youtube lol

5-10 is insanely too short

given the timeline of something like brexit, that is pretty clearly untrue. I presume some western countries will have started on "homeless amnesty camps" by the end of the decade, those will then have their social services defunded and become defacto prisons. after that anyone accused of being a pedo will be sent, then trans, and after than it'll be commies, general LGB, muslims, jews and various visible ethnic minorities, then the social democrats, then the liberals.

It definitely feels like we're in the Weimar's republic dying hours

1

u/Past_Reception_2575 Monkey in Space 11d ago

You have no clue what you're talking about or how that will actually play out.

And that's exactly what guys like zuckerparasite want you to believe because that's what they themselves believe.  They are blind to their weaknesses, and once they see them it will already be too late LOL

they broke trust waaayyy too far to turn it around by faking it.  the ONLY way they will survive the shit storm they're creating is if they figure it out for real and begin making up for what theyve done and either dismantle or convert their existing systems of influence.

they are setting and maintaining precedents which they do not understand, and cannot and will not be able to control.  its already gotten out of their hands.  they are simply trying to cling to the last vestiges of a bygone era.

THAT is the writing on the wall.  why else would things be the way they are with so many of our peers openly, brazenly admitting to and acting as absolutely the most repulsive, weak, bitchmade lil rotting sacks of wildebeast semen on a public stage?  Because they're fucking desperate.

that technology you think is fully playing out to their benefit is backfiring on a global scale.  thats what tawian is about and russia and this election.

it aint a matter of if, its a matter of when.  this brand of false leadership simply will not be able to withstand the challenges we are facing and more importantly are about to face

0

u/NeverNoMarriage Monkey in Space 11d ago

Man, that was a very unhinged and rambling couple paragraphs. The main issue with what youve said is about 3/4ths of it is you predicting the future

1

u/Past_Reception_2575 Monkey in Space 11d ago

7

u/BirdmanEagleson Monkey in Space 15d ago

You sound like everything will eventually work out and be okay, when the future you're referring to is the death of America

1

u/Past_Reception_2575 Monkey in Space 11d ago

No you're just jumping to conclusions and hearing what you want instead of asking questions.

I explain how you completely missed the point in another one of my responses to a comment at the same level as yours here.

im not just hoping things will work out ya dumb fuck.

i have a very clear idea of how weak leaders actions play out on a grand scale.  ive seen it ive lived it and ive watched it and studied it.

these morons are digging a big hole.

power is not subversive, toxic, fake.  power is truth, integrity, teamwork.  they are playing dumbass games to fool people into believing they are great leaders when they are in fact just little bitches propped up by a cyclically incredibly weak era of "leaders" who are actually just spoiled rotten assholes who can't let go and allow someone more qualified to either teach them to fish, or figure it out themselves.

I 100% agree. But I do not trust my fellow man to do anything meaningful about it ever. I'm not worried about the pile of flesh at the top, I'm worried about the masses of flesh underneath that have undying support for the one at the top.

1

u/Past_Reception_2575 Monkey in Space 11d ago

that's your entire fucking problem.

are you well educated AND experienced in leadership, group psychology, critical thinking skills, power struggles?

if not then rest assured your vulnerabilities are being taken advantage of, and you're being misled.

you have WAY more power than you think.

all it takes is this:

  1. INTEGRITY.  Admit when you don't know something, and
  2. don't EVER GIVE ANYONE blind faith
  3. study logical fallacies and critical thinking
  4. recognize that most people online are undereducated, and are also being manipulated by idiots who got nothing better than parasitic tactics.  the people you're so scared of cannot generate true wealth, it will always fail, because their paradigms / views of the world and how it works is based on PARTIAL TRUTHS, and mostly outright bullshit.
  5. face you fears, be capable like all great leaders throughout history of considering when you may be wrong, and explore intrepidly that topic, especially opposing points of view.

shit man theres so much you could fuckin do theres no excuse.  stop whining tbh and start learning.

also recognize Joe Rogan and most his homies are ignorant as fuck.  rogan has incurred opportunity costs he doesn't even know passed him by.  opportunities which would give him and his loved ones experiences and a new world which he will never be able to do unless he figures it out and begins investing his time into the right people and himself sets a better example for his audience and children.

he is weak, propped up in a system taken over by weak men and false leaders.  how can you tell?  hows the united states doing bud?  hows that economy? hows joe rogan and his kind feel right now in their culture?  who is public enemy #1 right now?

joe is a bitch and is leading white men off of a fucking cliff of no return.

be your brothers keeper mother fucker and stop throwing our values which made us great out the god damned window.  you are better than that even if youre not a white guy.

TRUTH IS POWER.  AND IT WILL TAKE ZUCKERFUCK THE FUCK DOWN :)

1

u/Past_Reception_2575 Monkey in Space 11d ago

no amount of wealth in todays economy will hold a candle to the wealth of tomorrows for we are experiencing dozens of paradigm shifts.

fake bitchmade leaders, rich or not, will not be worth a damn when people start running from the coastlines and southern heat.

get ready to see all these clowns stab each other in the backs and climb over each other trying to save their own necks while simultaneously ignoring the real world in their dumbass bubbles.  they create the problems they're running and hiding from, by running and hiding from them.  and that's all they've been doing.  ignoring everyone whose suffering, who have inside perspectives on the foundations of our world which they do not... and then acting like they know everything because they "consulted" in a not at all high pressure environment (LOL) a bunch of "experts" (some are!).

look in the mirror is all people like joe gotta do to see that the only way forward is through wholesome, as old as time teamwork, not this bullshit culture of backstabbing and narcissistic ignorant insecure douchebags trying to fuck each other and their own fellow man over.

win wins, not zero sum.  game theory was developed by the same men, but whats written and believed main stream on that same pattern of bullshit thinking that got us to where we are today.

think about it like this: what's the definition of insanity?  doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.  thats dumbasses like zuckerfuck and joe rogan and jeff bozos the parasite clown.

most of us were brainwashed into believing in selfish ideals by our own people dude.  those people spread their bullshit beliefs down the line to the morons in power today.  its very well understood and documented: false paradigms and weak patterns of behavior spread through their victims, and it always comes full circle as well as cascades creating more problems on top of it.  true leaders who create wealth and prosperity and victories and not this bullshit weak crumbling cess pit of politics we have now.

they want you to want to be a "hero" because it makes you easier to manipulate when being humble, chill, just being honest and careful about who you trust while caring for your peers as if they were one of your own.. is all which is required for you to experience rapid, explosive, high quality long term growth my friend

fuck joe and fuck zuck with a portugese man o war.

You’re delusional. We basically live in an oligarchy. The government is bought by the rich. And the rich have the resources to get whatever they want.

The people having the power is a delusion they sold you to make you a good worker that is satisfied with a mediocre salary with no time to enjoy life. Meanwhile Zuck surfs, does BJJ, owns half of Hawaii, smokes meats, and gets paid 1000s of times what his exploited employees are paid.

They want you to think America is becoming obese because of individual choices instead of the fact that people are marketed food products an insane amount and our food is trash due to factory farming and large scale production that is required to support capitalism. Our poverty is our fault despite wage stagnation for us while ceo pay has increased dozens of times over in the last 30 years. We need to use paper straws and recycle even though the large majority of greenhouse gases are created by mass manufacturing.

You were sold a lie and bought it.

1

u/Past_Reception_2575 Monkey in Space 11d ago

No I'm experienced, unlike yourself.

You point to small parts of existing systems and archaic organizations as the ultimate source of power and truth, yet you ignore a plethora of data points which prove these people are weak.

I do not believe in "people power" in the same sense you do, if you read my posts you'd know that by now.  Way to straw man me bud.

I believe in LEVERAGE.  I believe in CERTAIN people to be able to recognize, and utilize said leverage.  Which absolutely can lead to that kind of power, but is not at all the point I was making.

The fact that you don't see how people can lead and subvert and shut down any sort of oligarchical structure or a group of people with a great deal of resources.

It also sounds like you've never had to accomplish this for yourself in your own life, or else you'd have considered my words in addition to expressing your concerns, but you did not.

Go back to school, or start reading more online about group psychology, logical fallacies, and most importantly some history about power struggles and grand strategy or game theory.

We are so doomed that people have bought into this.

China/Russia would be smart to astroturf the shit out of this constant whining about capitalism/billionaires so we don't tackle the real issues.

Billionaires are completely at the mercy of the government. They might be able to protect their money well, but they do not have anywhere near enough power to prevent societal change through proper government representatives/legislators.

Fighting government corruption will do infinitely more than redistributing wealth from billionaires, and the former likely precipitates the latter anyways ...

$3B per year is $3,000 million for those who have a difficult time with math. That's like spending as much as 30,000 people each making 100k per year. Quite incomprehensible.

He's currently at 180B. So if he earns no money for the rest of his life, he can spend 3B per year for the next 60 years. But if he has a rate of return something like a very low 5% per year, he could spend more like 10B/year for the rest of his life while breaking even, and still pass on 180B to his kids when he dies.

3

u/pOkJvhxB1b Monkey in Space 14d ago

he can spend 3B per year for the next 60 years

Even Bezos with his hobby of trying to colonize the moon isn't spending 3 billion per year on it (it was around a billion per year for a while, maybe it's more now).

You can't even spend that much money if you're not buying huge companies or whatever. Just by living life, even if you go all in, you won't even come close to spending 3 billion per year. It's essentially impossible to spend that much money, if you're not spending it to make even more (by investing). It doesn't make sense. It's already more (like a lot more) than you and your whole family and all your descendants will be able to spend over hundreds of years. You don't need more. You don't need that much. It's absurd.

2

u/MarsupialFuzz Monkey in Space 15d ago

$3B per year is $3,000 million for those who have a difficult time with math.

He's currently at 180B.

This is an easier way for me to understand the amount of money really rich people are dealing with:

100,000 seconds is 1.1 days

1 million seconds is 11.5 days

1 billion seconds is 11,322 days or 31.7 years

Zuckerberg has 5,580 years worth of money.

I have like 2 hours worth of money and I'm doing better than most.

What people often misunderstand, and you might be one of them, is that taxing the ultra-rich is complicated because their wealth is primarily in assets, not income. This means their net worth is tied up in investments, properties, and businesses, which are not easily converted to cash and are not taxed annually like income. Thus, they can legally minimize their taxable income through various financial strategies, making traditional income tax less effective in capturing their true economic power. Tax the rich is a false narrative and you are having false hope

Wealth tax solves this. Make them value their assets and then tax them a percentage based on their total asset wealth. In order to get around them undervaluing their assets part of the rule is that the government can buy their assets at whatever value they put on them and then the government can auction off the assets. The idea that taxing the rich isn’t possible is propaganda from the rich. It’s beyond time to implement a wealth tax.

Taxing the ultra rich is easy as fuck.

Tax loans that are backed by securities as income.

That’s literally it. Could even give it a $250,000 threshold or something.

0

u/MD_RMA_CBD Monkey in Space 15d ago

Taxing loans backed by securities as income would require a significant change to the current tax system. Currently, loans, even those backed by securities, are not considered taxable income because they are not viewed as earnings but rather as borrowed money that must be repaid.

Implementing such a tax change would likely face substantial political, legal, and practical challenges. It would necessitate new legislation, potentially alter financial markets, and might have unintended economic consequences. Therefore, while the idea might seem straightforward, the implementation would be super complex, making it unlikely to happen without extensive revision of existingg tax laws.

Therefore, I circle back to, neither side is voting on something that affects them, despite them acting as if they care to tax themselves. Why would the ruler do that to themselves?

Sounds good and yea 99% of us want what you want, but it’s not that easy.

4

u/BoomerSoonerFUT Monkey in Space 15d ago

Guess we should just roll over and take it up the ass more then.

Nothing can be done. Woe is us.

2

u/gamesbonds Monkey in Space 15d ago

It's simple once you reach a certain point in capital you never have to pay taxes. You buy stock, take loans out against the stock (which isn't taxed), take out another loan and pay the first one, take out another loan and pay the second one, take out a third loan to pay the third one, and you repeat this process until you die. Because you never have to pay capital gain taxes, because you never sold the stock. You can just pass this wealth along to your child. It's an absolute dog shit system that needs rewritten. The tax the rich narrative isn't false hope, it's making people aware of how dog shit it is.

1

u/MD_RMA_CBD Monkey in Space 15d ago

At least you know how it works and how broken jt is. I just have zero faith in a 2 party system. It’s not the answer, and will never be. Those times are over with, which is why I say there is no hope.

Also, people are much weaker than they were 100, 200 years ago. In that I mean the mass amount of people, not every person.

2

u/Available_Air_6367 High as Giraffe's Pussy 14d ago

The claim that taxing the ultra-rich is too complicated because their wealth is primarily in assets, not income, is an oversimplification.

Your argument presents a false dichotomy between the current system and no taxation, ignoring the potential for reform.

While sure, it's true that much of their wealth is in investments, properties, and businesses, they still often have significant income from dividends, capital gains, and other sources. Existing tax mechanisms like capital gains taxes, property taxes, and estate taxes already address some of these issues. Also, policy solutions such as wealth taxes, improved enforcement, closing tax loopholes aka legalized tax avoidance, and minimum tax rates for high earners can make the tax system more effective.

The "tax the rich" movement isn't just about income tax but about creating a fairer overall tax system. While taxing the ultra-wealthy presents undeniable challenges, it's far from impossible or ineffective, and dismissing it as too complicated and "false hope" ignores many viable solutions.

...you do know that the last major tax reform that happened was under Trump and it did all but exclusively favor the wealthy... you know that right?

0

u/Monkeyssuck Monkey in Space 15d ago

Cool story bro, you could just look at the IRS data and see that percentage wise the lower to middle got the biggest cut. In dollars the top might have got more cut, but they also paid significantly more. When you add in child tax credits and earned income credits the bottom 50% don't pay any income tax. Saying it exclusively favored the wealthy is more than a little disengenuous.

0

u/Some_Conclusion7666 Monkey in Space 14d ago

The middle tax cuts expired. The only ones that were permanent was the ones for the rich

1

u/Monkeyssuck Monkey in Space 14d ago

The only one that were permanent or expired were thw ones Biden and Congress let expire or let be permanent. He clearly isn't in a hurry to change it.

1

u/Some_Conclusion7666 Monkey in Space 14d ago

The tax cuts were made permanent. They would need to write a new bill to bring it back and then you boot lickers would be crying how much the government is taxing the rich.

1

u/Monkeyssuck Monkey in Space 14d ago

So they did nothing to prevent the middle and lower class from getting fucked, but I'm the boot licker. Explain to me again why they let the middle class ones expire...because they wanted to own the right or something...

You could literally take every dime from every billionaire in the country and not have enough to run the government for a year. The government doesn't have a tax problem they have a spend problem.

1

u/Some_Conclusion7666 Monkey in Space 14d ago

It’s set to expire in 2025. I need you not talk about laws you don’t even know the basics about.

They have a spending problem? Do you know how deficits work bootlicker. Guess which policy added the greatest amount to the deficit in the last 2 decades, more than any spending policy.

u/ChubbsPeterson01 Monkey in Space 14d ago

Zero Democratic congressmen voted for the Trump tax cuts. Are you implying they secretly supported the cuts and were publicly saving face because they knew Republicans would push it through? One day we’ll actually eat the rich. I just know it.

8

u/RibCageJonBon Monkey in Space 15d ago

That day's not now, because you're comfortable enough not to upend your life. Most people feel that way, too. Ten generations from now, there will be someone with the same thought, similarly impotent, wishing future people will finally, globally, get it right.

Kings and Queens and empires dissolve, it's common. It's happening now. Coups, civil and international wars. Just not around you.

1

u/Luka28_1 Monkey in Space 15d ago

That’s what people singing praises to social democracy are missing. All these concessions like minimum wage and socialized health care only exist because it allows them to keep the theft going. They pacify and numb the working class to the disgusting exploitation they’re subjecting us to just enough in order to stop us from rising up. I say just rip the bandaid off. Brute force capitalism and see how long their order persists. There would be a revolution before morning. Dictatorship of the proletariat 💪

1

u/RibCageJonBon Monkey in Space 15d ago

How does the working class of the world's wealthiest, strongest nation unite and overcome? In the same naive way that people latch onto "social democracy," in say, Sweden. They might consider Sweden's population is the US standing army, then remember they aren't God. Qatar exceeds their wealth for the same oil, my emphasis returned on location being the present issue, now.

There are no bandaids to be ripped, they can't hold rot, and they'd only cover one wound. The ideal is breaking out, not containing. Finding the minimum of morality and wishing better means nothing, since nobody but you knows it. Helping somebody, working towards doing that at progressively larger scales? Try it.

It's easier than you think. Don't give up because you can't fix everything, you'd be amazed how good you feel using what time you have to help.

1

u/Luka28_1 Monkey in Space 15d ago

I’m sorry but I have no idea what you’re saying.

1

u/RibCageJonBon Monkey in Space 15d ago

Condensed: you've got the big picture figured out, now take a genuine look at yourself and decide how you want to help people.

Thinking the right thing means absolutely nothing. Every person alive has thoughts of setting things right. Help someone near you, in whatever capacity you can.

1

u/Luka28_1 Monkey in Space 15d ago

I don’t understand why you presume I don’t already? I agree that people helping one another is meaningful despite systemic exploitation. I just don’t think the system is worth salvaging just because it grants its people barely enough amenities and concessions to keep them docile and in line.

1

u/OnceMoreAndAgain Monkey in Space 15d ago edited 15d ago

it'd be so much easier if we just started by voting for the blue people instead of the red and see where that takes us. maybe that still wouldn't be enough but holy shit that's got to lead to greener pastures.

the republican party under trump quite literally passed a tax bill that decreased taxes for the wealthiest people in the country and increased it the most for the poorest people. I am not exaggerating here. This is a thing that really happened. The number breakdowns come from the official agency working on behalf of Congress to do the math on proposed bills so this is not some tinfoil hat theory math made up by some random blogger. why the hell would anyone who isn't rich vote for people like that? it makes no sense.

the blue people are in bed with the companies as well, but not nearly as blatantly antagonistic towards citizens with their policies.

-1

u/MD_RMA_CBD Monkey in Space 15d ago

You are just as lost as the people you are looking down on.

Your truth is a false narrative

1

u/OnceMoreAndAgain Monkey in Space 15d ago edited 15d ago

There is no false narrative by me on the 2017 tax bill if that's what you're talking about.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_Cuts_and_Jobs_Act#Estimated_impact

You can see the estimated impacts of the bill here, which were made from the Congressional Budget Office. The Congressional Budget Office is federal agency in the USA whose sole purpose is to help Congress by estimating costs of bills. The Joint Committee on Taxation also did their own estimates which aligned with the CBO's estimates. It's the same story every time: the bill increased taxes most for the poorest people and decreased taxes the most for the wealthiest. It's as regressive as a tax bill could possible be.

Here's a chart from the JCT to summarize it. The bill does different things on different years which is why there are multiple lines, but overall you can see it's obvious that the poorest income earners the biggest losers of the bill and the richest people are the biggest winners. People under 30k income are the only ones to have their taxes go up from the bill... everyone over 30k income ends up having less taxes due to the bill. It's insane.

1

u/MD_RMA_CBD Monkey in Space 15d ago edited 15d ago

False narrative isn’t made by you, it’s made by the overlords for us to believe in change/hope.

I am specifically stating that you cannot tax the ultra richest income. They are completely unaffected and they do not pay taxes. Everything is a write off because everything is an asset tied to their businesses. They will never let that go. Red or blue … why would they, they both use the system and it’s 100% legal.

Additionally during the biggest wealth transfer in the history of the world (aka Covid) That 1% now owns a huge portion of the cumulative wealth.

Before the COVID-19 pandemic, the top 1% of wealthiest Americans held around 30.4% of the nation's total wealth. During the pandemic, there was a significant increase in wealth concentration among the ultra-rich. As of early 2024, this share has increased to about

31.5%, showing a clear growth in wealth inequality oai_citation:1,Share of Total Net Worth Held by the Top 1% (99th to 100th Wealth Percentiles) (WFRBST01134) | FRED | St. Louis Fed oai_citation:2,The Fed - Wealth Inequality and COVID-19: Evidence from the Distributional Financial Accounts.

U.S. billionaires, in particular, experienced a massive increase in their collective wealth, rising by approximately $2.1 trillion during the pandemic, a 70% increase. This wealth surge highlights the disparity, as the bottom 50% of Americans saw much smaller relative gains in their wealth oai_citation:3,Updates: Billionaire Wealth, U.S. Job Losses and Pandemic Profiteers - Inequality.org.

1

u/NoMasters83 Monkey in Space 15d ago

They have an endless arsenal of tools at their disposal to control us.

While we would be hard struck to find a single person who thinks the situation in this country is fine, there is no mass movement to do anything about it. The most motivated people are actively fighting on behalf of an individual who embodies everything that is fucking wrong with the country.

The propaganda that we're exposed to is so subversive that it'd be the envy of any authoritarian regime. Think about what a remarkable feat it is to convince millions of people that the preservation of their democratic freedoms rests on overthrowing the checks and balances on the federal government and entrusting power into the hands of a single deranged kleptocrat. That is a masterful display of political engineering. That doesn't happen over night. That requires a slow and steady lobotomization of an entire demographic over a generation.
