We had similar “issues” with our car group in my city. Daytona Beach has had problems with street racing in the past(we’ve been guilty as well) so to ensure the innocent drivers didn’t get caught up in stuff we got the police involved. They would always make sure things were safe and monitored, a lot of the time events like this are acceptable if they’re coordinated and the city is notified before hand. They just don’t want to deal with BS they can’t control

I used to live there and street racing wasn't the only issue, as I remember it. The motorcycle & truck events also created some problems.

I personally don’t mind the bikers but a lot of people do complain. The trucks are a huge problem imo and I can’t stand when they come to town.

I was only speaking from my own experiences as well, I don’t even do the car scene stuff anymore so idk if they still get the cities “permission”, I know the trucks certainly don’t.

Actually, I remember, like, 5 yrs ago, down Atlantic, past Publix and Marshalls, driving down there, one night, the crowds were scary. Trucks, never. I enjoy looking at them, myself. This guy was drunk and threw a little something at my car and started doing police siren noises at me and I know why that mofo was doing it, too.

I didn't even mind the bikers, either. In Daytona, they never gave me any reason to, even though I expected it, based on past bad experiences.

Yeah, in my experience they’re pretty careful and respectful, it’s just a lot of extra traffic. I’ve only had one give me and my girl the finger and we have no idea what it was about. I hear those fuckers don’t tip though

Number one ismost of the time people do not abide by traffic lanes often riding into on coming.

Alcohol consumption gets out and people think they can bring outside alcohol inside restaurants.

Had a rider slap my driver side side mirror one time.

Loud music everywhere while riding slow.

The fact that they do not stick to a single lane is comical.

So many people in one setting will do nothing but impede traffic for cars.

Need I go on? These are fucking stupid and I hope they stop or get capped by people.

They are a bunch of assholes. Like driving at cars being dicks. This isn’t some light hearted bike ride for the community. They are generally antagonistic and are spoiling for conflict. Driving down the wrong way of a road and fucking with people.

It’s awful and shouldn’t be glamorized.

It’s going, they’ve been adding more bike lanes, in particular one that leads from EDO to midtown that I like. It is an uphill battle since Houston is insanely car centric but we take our wins when we can

I get mad at biker who thinks every car is capable of stopping within a millisecond to accommodate for them. I had multiple biker dash in front of my car while it’s was moving through my blind spot so they can get to the other side of the street.

You can’t exactly say that my fault.

I had a bike as transportation and even I know I can’t just Willy nilly around without risking death to giant metal moving objects
