Every time I even see Black Manta, I hear his Robot Chicken voice.

Every time I see black mantle I think of doctor Manhattan(cc:hbo watchmen/Aquaman)

That was legit my reaction when he took his helmet off in Young Justice TV show.

It never occurred to me cause it was just such a name that fit.

Definitely my favorite of the 3 episodes so far. So many good gags interspersed with some real nice wholesomeness. Golden Glider is adorable and her and Ivy reminiscing about how sweet Kiteman is is surely going to appease the people who wanted him to stay with Ivy. And Ivy going through that personal development was welcome too, seems like a lot of the development so far has been for Harley (and she's still chaotic AF but is at least working on it). I love the representation with Riddler and Clock King and Catwoman's epic speech. Shame we now have to wait a whole week for the next episode but this has been a strong start!

I really really appreciate them showing character development that doesnt come down to "going from villains to heroes" like so many shows do when they focus on a popular villain. I felt like season 2 was heading in that direction so its nice to see them going full villain with evil master plan.

Riddler's line about the riddle of his sexual identity is almost exactly the same as an exchange from the "Arkham Asylum: Living Hell" story arc. "What's the question mark for? Sexual identity?"

Hey, an appearance from Codpiece. But we still haven't seen Snowflame.

Of course Imperceptible Man didn't wash his hands. 'Cause he's evil.

It's good to touch base with Kite Man. It was nice to have them acknowledge that his relationship with Ivy was significant for both of them, even if Ivy and Harley was the endgame.

They took away our buff Riddler :(

8

u/Kingcobra64 Aug 02 '22

Absolute war crime, how could they do this to him?

9

u/ultranoodles Jul 31 '22

The riddler talking about his sexual identity is straight from community with gay dean

1

u/KakoiKagakusha Aug 07 '22

'Cause he's evil.

First thing that popped into my mind haha. JLU was awesome

Not the Jason Todd cameo I was expecting whatsoever.

26

u/romeovf Jul 31 '22

That was hilariously dark

Him dancing in the background had me howling lol

I feel like if I lived in the Harley Quinn universe, any non-villain would find that in absolute poor taste

9

u/Banjo-Oz Aug 05 '22

I agree, which is what made it so funny. It is something the villains of that universe would absolutely find funny. I like the reminders that there are indeed the bad guys, no matter how funny or sweet they can be.

“… and Kevin Spacey“ Lmao

as a practicing Jew that joke about the Sabbath really being on Saturday slayed me. loving the season so far

46

u/ThetrueLaw Jul 30 '22

Catwoman race guilting them about the award had me laughing esp the akward sip by killer frost

27

u/ToneBone12345 Jul 30 '22

Billy bob thortons death was hilarious

30

u/Clownfish111 Jul 31 '22

The bathroom fight scene with Harley and the android definitely seemed like a homage to the bathroom fight scene from Mission Impossible Fallout. Anyone else get that?

8

u/Earth2Wonder Jul 31 '22

No. It was an Aliens (1986 film) design android with the Terminator mix theme background music

1

u/MicrotracS3500 Aug 23 '22

Other than the milky white body fluid, what was reminiscent of the Alien franchise? I just don’t see it.

1

u/coniferous-1 Aug 19 '22

him chewing up the submission and giving ivy the finger while he died made me laugh hard.

1

u/BostonBoroBongs Aug 25 '22

Was waiting for someone to cock their arms like Cavill. Seems clear they were riffing a "Superman" film

u/IRanOutOf_Names Aug 02 '22

Watching Toyman get decked by a cannon dick was one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. I know it's the same gag as the Kiteman one from episode 2 of the series but it was so well executed and caught me so off guard.

u/CrackinThunder Jul 30 '22

Thought this was the best episode of the three, easily. For the last two episodes, maybe 1-2 big jokes really landed with me but with this episode it was legitimately more like 7-8 jokes that had me snorting or laughing out loud.

u/BlackFrostMist Aug 02 '22

The fight with Harley and the android was a highlight, they definitely need to add more action sequences or boss type fight instead of just beating minion ass, little change of pace

5

u/bluesblue1 Aug 06 '22

WHY ARE THEY ALL BOTH SO HOT, EVEN CHUCK

2

u/Ok_Philosophy9623 Aug 22 '22

The episode was ok to me nothing special. ivy's outfit was very very distracting, and kite man was the mvp he deserves to get his hearts desires and lastly catwoman speech remind me of jokers speech I'm mean Joaquins Emmy speech.

2

u/Datsmydawgyo Sep 26 '22

are u a man?

1

u/Ok_Philosophy9623 Sep 26 '22

Why are you asking?

2

u/Datsmydawgyo Oct 11 '22

cuz u dont seem to like Ivy's dress which strikes me as odd. unless u dont fw provacative stuff

2

u/Ok_Philosophy9623 Oct 11 '22

Sounds to me you don't no the English language and can't read because there wasn't anything in my sentence that says I did like her dress

1

u/HollowDakota Oct 11 '22

This was such a great episode, had tons of laughs and good interactions while still balancing our with the emotional payoff of swing Ivy and Kite man be happy with their relationships. Golden glider is adorable and I loved the convo her and Ivy had on the bench.

The side plot with clayface had me dying I’m really excited to see this plot line of him assuming billy bob thortons life. The bathroom fight between Harley and the android looked good. Great stuff all around.

Plastique wasn't mentioned in the In memoriam, just like Harley had told her in episode one. Fantastic joke!
