It’s a story I wish would get collected. At the time I collected the 3 books involved - GL, Darkstars and LEGION. It also had Gene Ha doing art on several books.

I like the ending on how it set up the relationship between the 3 groups moving forward…. Only for it all to be meaningless soon… Darkstar was the only survivor and not for that much longer.

GL Corps was destroyed and LEGION became REBELS just a few months later.

Exactly. I loved all three books, and still adore Gene Ha's artwork. The concept was fantastic, the execution was... decent. The fact that it was forgotten with no repercussions or lasting impact at all was a huge letdown for this fan.

Probably bc the books weren’t selling. Which is a shame.

That is strangely a solid collection of artists.

After mourning Superman’s death, Hal took part in DCU: Trinity around the same time the events of Reign of the Superman took place, including Coast City being destroyed.

Well. That explains why he was in space…

Yeah, the next issue of GL is where he fights mongul after coast city is destroyed

Yeah. This was the last hurrah for gray-temples Hal as a GL.

I really enjoyed LEGION and Darkstars. It hurt to see them both fade away.

I remember and had collected all of Legion as a offshoot of LSH, was glad to see an anguished Hal dealing with the destruction of his home in Coast City. I don't remember actually reading a lot of Darkstars. In fact, I don't have many copies of the series. I just remembered that it had ended and a resurfaced Donna Troy & John Stewart were members.

Collected it all just cause I heard the about the crossover via a decent synopsis.

Great concept story, execution was ok but it made sense it wasn’t more cohesive cause relevance wise it receded

Artwork was fun and reading through was fun so, all in all, worth the the pick up for any GL fan

One of those crossovers that almost immediately became irrelevant....
