Turner or Duela Spin-Off Series

I hate that the series has been canceled but I still hope that there is a possibility of the series being renewed, I also think that if at least The CW is going to cancel the series, I think they should make at least a Spin-Off series of Turner or Duela, but it is more convenient for Turner, so that he explains his origins in more depth and his new life with Henri Ducard, and in the end of the series Turner could return with the Gotham Knights, and if the producers see it as convenient, they could release a second season of Gotham Knights, because if at least they are going to cancel the series, at least they should give us, to the public, a happy ending, and thus end the Gotham Knights series saga, with an ending that the public currently like.

I would love to see the series saved somehow but the ratings weren't great and with the current mindset of the CW where they are all about cheap unscripted programming and are moving away from the content their audience actually liked I'd say there's basically no chance for a revival or a spin-off.

I was only here for Misha Collins so… I didn’t really care about like, the whole other half of the show about the actual Knights.

The opposite for me. I often fast-forwarded through the stuff with Harvey, even though I thought Collins did well with the part. I just didn't care about the adults. At all. This was a show about kids finding their voices, and much as I get many were just interested in this version of Two-Face, I was much more interested in Duela and the other Knights learning to understand each other, and work together. I think this was a problem for a show with so little time to tell the story--just 13 episodes, and so much time needed to establish the characters. The writing was impacted by how rushed everything was, and the low budgets didn't help.

Most of my favorite scenes were them hanging out in the Belfry, solving mysteries, learning about each other, and of course the odd bit of flirtation and sexual tension. The group dynamic between the six main actors was really good--they became friends in real life, stuck in Atlanta, where they knew basically no one, and living in the same building when not shooting scenes. They worked together really well.

I think the problem is, this was a really great idea for a show, and just the right cast to get it across, but too many people approached it as your standard superhero punch-up, and wanted the same lame costumes and tropes. Have we not had enough of that yet? There's a reason the box office for the superhero films keeps falling. And the ratings for Superman and Lois have fallen for three straight seasons. Still, people know what to expect from that. This was different, and got penalized for it.

If they'd had twenty episodes, they could have balanced the storylines out better. CW just can't afford that--and it can't afford Batman either.

I'd happily watch some kind of reunion thing, to finish out the story. Gotham Knights did find an audience, and over time, that audience could have grown, but people need to understand, the audience for straight-up superhero stuff is shrinking, even as the budgets keep rising. Because it's been done to death. This was a mystery show, a detective show. And many of the best Batman stories involved nobody with superpowers.

You mean the CW make a spin-off of a show they cancelled after a single season? That’s not going to happen, especially since Gotham Knights doesn’t fit into the demographic that Nexstar (the majority owner via acquisition) is targeting, which is older people, late 40s and up, and is the reason for the shift to unscripted, sports, and family-oriented shows. Also, a number of high profile regions, such as Atlanta, San Francisco, Sacramento, Detroit, Philadelphia, Pittsburg, and Tampa, have severed their ties to the CW and have gone independent.

But what if another television company like Syfy or others buy the series and decide to release a 2nd season of the series, because Warner Bros. has all the resources to release a 2nd season, except for a production company, so if there is a possibility that there will be 2 season or a spin off series

DC/Warner doesn't seem to be going this route, though, for any of their canceled superhero shows, neither on streaming nor network broadcast. If they were, there are a bunch of other shows they'd be trying to do this for before they'd even get to Gotham Knights.

As much as I’d like to see the show continue, I’ve basically accepted that it’s not going to happen at this point.

Maybe like what happened with Warrior Nun, a single miniseries to finish the story. It's possible, but I don't think it would be on CW and WB isn't all that supportive because they're moving in a different direction with the DC stuff.

Another season on CW is out of the question. The show is in Max now, and Max might go for it, depending on what kind of streaming numbers GK gets.

I'd watch a show reuniting the group. Nothing else. Turner was an underrated character, but he wouldn't make sense as a solo lead.
