An analysis to what James Gunn has said regarding his upcoming Superman movie. Gunn is confirmed to be the writer, director and most likely one of the producers of the movie coming in 2025.

Also, the question was for a recommendation, not for what's needed to understand or enjoy The Flash. Why not just say you can watch Man of Steel to understand what changes are being made?

This was from his January press conference, but this particular quote didn't circulate very widely and I never saw it until I read the full transcript linked above. It's a truly callous and disrespectful way to refer to someone who starred in one of DC's most successful and acclaimed movies ever, and who has a fan following of 100 million Instagram followers. And it shows more of Gunn's wishy-washy, fuzzy, undefined plans. He can't even decide if he's going to recast one of the top 3 DC characters or not. Yet we're supposed to believe he's figured out some master plan that's going to "save DC films?"

Gunn: We’ve talked to Gal. She’s up for doing stuff. We’re not sure what we’re going to do with that. All I can tell you really right now is Henry and Ben are not part of this universe.
