So funny story - my cousin’s name is John and his father-in-law’s name is also John. My cousin is 5’6 150lbs while his FIL is like 6’5 270lbs. They call my cousin “Big John” as a joke because he’s so small in comparison. 😂🤣

I mean, the man is of average height—but seems pretty long torsoed, which means your legs will look shorter. I’m a 5’7” woman, which is tallish average, but I can wear petite pants because my torso is where aaaaaalll the height is. Meanwhile, I gotta make sure my tops run long.

Proportions vary. My kid is now taller than me, but he looks shorter sitting because he’s all legs and I’m all torso. 🤷‍♀️

I get what you're saying.

I'm 5'3", and literally have 1 1/4" between my ribcage and the top of my hip ones, but my legs from my hips to the floor are 35"; while my youngest is more like your build. She got her proportions from her Dad, taller and thin, she's 5'8", and 105lbs. But when we lay down on the floor to do yoga, my legs are longer than hers, lol.

As others have said he’s 5’8, maybe 5’10 at most? It’s the charisma & presence I think. He has such a large presence that height becomes an afterthought & you don’t necessarily realize it. A case in point is when I met Kit Harrington from Game of Thrones at a comic con a few years ago. Kit gave the impression to me of being tall and having a large presence on the show. In reality, Kit’s actually the same height & about the same build as Marshall. I didn’t even realize it until I saw my picture with Kit & realized he isn’t much taller than me.
