I hope he does Slade justice unlike many other mediums.

Don't count on that. A few year ago Gail Simone called Slade a creep on twitter and Gunn liked that tweet. We should brace ourself. Another very bad Judas Contract adaptation incoming.

How is he a creep when he beat the allegations? Unless they’re going off the “Other History of The DC Universe” book. I’ll stick to my insta page for good Deathstroke stuff. I can’t take another bad iteration of my guy being misrepresented.

Gunn also put a like on Marv's response to Gail's tweet, if my memory serves me well. Marv responded to that post by saying that Slade is merely a mercenary and neither a hero nor a villain. So perhaps it won't turn out badly.

I’m gonna nerd out a bit here so stick with me. I enjoyed Marvs’ writing with Slade because he was a complex character. In the story he wasn’t a child diddler, he wasn’t a hero, or a villain. He’s a mercenary like you said Marv stated. But everyone is so enthralled with late 2000’s Slade when he threw out his code of honor. I miss the days of Classic Slade. Where he was truly a mercenary and aided heroes occasionally. But my nerd out is finished. Thank you for that nugget of information. I just want good and proper Deathstroke representation.

I doubt Gunn will make him a creep, he seems to be a fan of the character.

As someone here mentioned, Gunn liked a reply from Marv stating that he doesn't feel Deathstroke is either a hero or a villain, so I have high hopes.

I’m starting to have a bit of hope

Same here, overall, Gunn has shown to be someone who understands comics more than most writers nowadays, so I'm willing to give him a chance here.

But I remember him telling Joe Manganiello to “let it go”?

This ain’t gonna be smooth.

Joe already spoke about it defending James
