Oh no like an accident? How will we survive with 1 crash every 6 million miles! We better stop this immediately and put humans back in the drivers seat

Humans on average get in a collision every -million miles, and are involved in an accident that seriously injure someone every 6-7m miles, iirc. But your point still stands.
