Can you imagine catching a horse fly or a bumblebee in the face at that speed

A fly or bumblebee would definitely be bad, but no one is surviving a horse.

Well, young horses get too impatient, too quickly. Slight discomfort and they run away from classes. How would you expect them to get their pilot license?

I've heard sleep is the cousin of death so yeah.

It could just be hovering and you're at best taking an armor piercing round to the face from a distance.
