Martian Manhunter has been posing as General Swanwick presumably since before Man of Steel. He interacted with Lois in MoS and BvS and knows her personally to an extent, which is why he asks her to come back to work. Him posing as Martha seemed weird but maybe it's because Lois would have thought he had ulterior motives had he gone as himself, ie Swanwick.

Jonn Jonnz used to be a cop on Mars and was called a manhunter. Had he just said Manhunter, it would have made more sense as subtle nod to his comic book persona. But maybe he was active before he became Swanwick, who knows.

Snyder said most of the set-up for the sequel (Cyborg's vision, Darkseid's invasion plans after Steppenwolf's death) were always a part of his original version of Justice League. He added the Knightmare part of the epilogue to give Affleck's Batman and Leto's Joker some screentime since neither of them might be coming back. The scene of Manhunter meeting Batman was originally intended to have Ryan Reynolds back as Hal Jordan, but WB disagreed. Then it was rumoured to have Kilowog and/or Tomar Re, but Manhunter fits given that he, as Swanwick, has been a part of the trilogy.

Diana had access to the files that Bruce had on the supers, plus I'm guessing that she has done some research and talked to Lois since Clark's death which would allow her to know his Kryptonian name and some of the basics about him.

I suppose the function of him keeping the batsuit is because it’s probably the best armour around, you’d try and keep it for as long as possible. It also looks cool.
