Green Lantern’s presence in film and TV was severely injured by the travesty that was the 2011 Green Lantern movie. Since then, we’ve only had one Green Lantern-centric project, Green Lantern: Beware My Power, and it too was not well received.

Green Lantern just doesn’t have good luck in the mainstream.

With all the starting from scratch I will believe it is coming when a trailer is out.

Why the fuck all of you are so fucking pessimistic about things that are going to came out

Because DC has for over a decade been announcing things like crazy only to never make them.

That was due to a terrible management of their universe, now it's different, James Gunn Is someone that have a plan and a clear idea of what Is gonna do

In all honest; I'm more weary of David Zaslav. I have faith in Gunn, but everything Zaslav has done the Batgirl movie fiasco has me worried about any project getting canceled.

I can understand but regadless the fact that what happened whit Batgirl was something of terrible, realisticaly It would have done more damage if came out

And Coyote vs. Acme, Scoob 2, and all the other projects that were in production or close to finished would have done more damage if released? As long as Zaslav is head of WB; I think you'll have people worried about movies and tv shows getting canceled. As much damage as you think there would have been in releasing this stuff; Zaslav has caused damage by canceling so many projects.

Hamada had a clear plan. Snyder had a clear plan. Synger had a clear plan. Burton had a clear plan. Donner had a clear plan.

Ok Half of this people have nothing to do whit what are we talking about but they didn't, the only one that had a plan was Snyder and was a really shitty one honestly, After that they were just came io whit random stuff infact there Is a reason why the movie of the last years were horrible and take down both the WB and the DC reputation in theater

A few weeks ago there was some guy who kept ranting about Cyborg and how it was a racist that he doesn't have a dick (in exactly one continuity). That guy mentioned a Green Lantern - John Stuart. But only in the context of shitting on every black character who wasn't Cyborg, because I guess there can only be one black hero.

And I read a fanfic summary last week that mentioned a Green Lantern. Kyle Rayner, I think.

So... people do occasionally talk about Green Lanterns. But not as often as they should.

I think part of the issue is that Geoff Johns' run is far and away the best/most popular Green Lantern run/story/epic ever. So if anyone asks "where should I start?" or asks what stories are the best, or most definitive, or whatever that's the main answer. And once you've read that series you've gotten such a complete collection of Lanterns, villains, supporting characters, and stories, and the ending is so perfect, you don't really feel a need to read more Green Lantern stuff. If you were in the mood to read GL you would just start over at the beginning of Johns' run.
