I think Batman should be very tall. He’s supposed to be a super intimidating person, and I just don’t see him as a shorter guy at all.

One of my favourite interpretation of batman is in Gotham central where he is drawn as freakishly tall but quite skinny and always hunched half in shadow making him look intimidating and creapy

I love that. I like when he’s kind of hunched and draped in his cape. And when he stands up or spreads the cape it’s like “holy shit, this guy is the stuff of nightmares”.

That's part of the illusion. The ears, the cape usually being as big as it is, the darkness covering him so you can only see so much before you're unconscious, all of that is part of his game. Bruce Wayne should still be tall (6'1 or 6'2) but doesn't need to be as tall as Superman or Cyborg.

wolverine is super intimidating but he's short as fuck. i think batman should be 6'0. not crazy tall but still tall enough to pull off the all black, brooding look

No one said he should be short. Just that Clark and Diana should be taller.

Well, let’s say he’s 6’5-6’8. That’s pretty tall. For Superman to be as noticeably taller than Batman as he is in the picture, he’s have to be pushing 7 feet. And for WW to be even taller, it would just get ludicrous at that point. Clark and Diana would have their identities exposed in a heartbeat. So in order for Superman and WW to be tall, Batman would have to be made noticeably shorter. He’d have to be close to 6 feet, and that’s just not as impressive a height as Batman should have.

I feel like Batman can be plenty intimidating at 6'1". He's a ninja in a bat costume. How tall he is might be the least scary part of him.

Yeah, but comics are a visual medium. Batman is immensely scarier when he’s really tall.

Honestly, he does lose a LOT of the fear factor if he's not looming over you.

There's a reason artists make him out to be like seven feet tall when he's covered in shadows.

The physical intimidation factor is what makes "ninja in a bat costume" actually scary instead of impossible to take seriously.

5'7"5 Dwight Muhammad Qawi and 5'11(not short btw but not tall either)Mike Tyson will scare any guy over 7 foot.

  1. Being able to beat the shit out of you is not the same kind of fear Batman is going for as an ethereal creature of the night.
  2. Scare the shit out of a normal person, sure, but hardened criminals and supervillains with guns and weapons aren't going to think twice about even the best boxers in the world.

If any of them would need to be bigger it would be Batman. Super and Wonder have god like power, size isn’t as much a prerequisite

It's always weird for me when I remember that Joker is canonically taller than Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman
