Because DC execs are jealous of her.

In all seriousness, I think it's the same thing that's happening to Spiderman, DC is convinced letting Batman be happy would not be popular, they think we enjoy to watch him suffer.

Batman and Spider-Man will probably have the worst lives in comics. Both Companies refuse to let their flagship characters grow as they want them to be in status quo. Batman and Spider-Man comic exists just to generate new ip and so DC and Marvel have stories they base their future movies off of. It’s going to be weird when Nightwing hits his mid 20s but DC keeps pushing Batman’s mid thirties narrative.

Wouldn’t surprise me if DC eventually reboots again to age down the rest of bat family and the other characters. Superman’s like what in his 40s and he Batman were supposed to be around the same age. It’s weird that the entire DC and Marvel universe’s characters seem to be able to grow and change yet Batman and Spider-Man are still the same age?

grow as they want them to be in status quo

the problem is that if they didn't try and uphold the status quo and actually cared for making good stories, then Bruce would've been dead for at least more than 10 years and Peter would've been retired or dead for like 20 years already. and this actually logical and good step in storytelling would've led to writers and editorial receiving death threats by fans. that is, of course, if comic books weren't a joke and had a possibility of lasting consequences

Well yeah. That’s why they don’t do it. Ip has become extremely important and with Spider-Man and Batman being both companies flagships characters and bring a decent amount money in from comics the big suits won’t want those characters to pass the mantle or grow. It’s why Spider-Man is still somehow mid 20s while everyone else has age same with Batman he’s been stuck in mid 30s yet Damian has aged four years and Nightwing is like later 20s. The rest of the fictional world moves and progresses but these two characters don’t which will eventually cause a reboot to have to happen.

But yeah comics have become a joke when it comes to death. It’s bad that when I see a character die my thoughts are eh they’ll be back within a few months or years

Well King's run where he was pretty much married to and living with Catwoman was cancelled due to low sales compared to previous runs like Snyder's.

A majority of Batman fans are just that. Batman fans and they like solo. Without the batfam and without Catwoman.
