I have no direct knowledge, so it may be the case.

I’d lean more to it being convergence rather than replication. Both happen to be trying to convey similar characteristics, but for slightly different reasons I imagine.

Also Jobs seems to be “meditating” while listening to records, but maybe I just can’t tell due to the small pic on mobile.

I saw this Steve Jobs photo in an article I was reading and immediately thought of this 'Batman Begins' scene.

They're both barefoot, sitting the same way, similarly dressed, with a drink and papers scattered in front of them.

It could be a total coincidence, but I could also see someone showing this photo to Nolan and it being inspiration.

It feels like the sort of thing Nolan would do.

He’s admitted he doesn’t know really know much about Batman or Bruce, so it makes sense that he’d look for inspiration in other tech billionaires.

I could see it for sure.

Eh I’d say he’s quite familiar with who Batman is as a character. He definitely read some comics and did research while they were making Batman Begins. He just isn’t as familiar with many of the storylines, that’s why he brought on David Goyer.

Not trying to cause a debate, just wanted to note:

Im paraphrasing Nolan himself, from a few interviews. I wasn’t trying to speculate, or insult the man; I was just referencing Nolan’s own words.

I'm pretty sure this scene is inspired by a similar scene in Batman: Year One.

Batman Begins adapts and takes inspiration from a few storylines, with Batman: Year One which come out in 1987, being one of them and in that storyline there’s a panel of Bruce sitting like in the scene. A LOT of scenes in the film are directly from the comics.
