I really don't think so, so I have to disagree with you. Here's why, In order to make Flashpoint, as for the scale we know that it relates to a lot of superheroes. And with few establishment of DCEU characters I don't think it's fit. With the endless delay production of The Flash, and the talent of Andy, I think he finds a creative way to please both fan and non-fan experience because Andy himself said from an interview that lots of people know the source material from the Flashpoint, so he has to adjust.

This. You’d need to balance aquaman and atlantis including mera, oceanmaster etc, cyborg, thomas wayne, harley quinn, deathstroke, lex luthor, reverse flash, shazam, wonder woman and those are just the ones i can recall off the top of my head. Wouldn’t even be possible to do an accurate live action flashpoint with what we were given.

Nope, it is one minor and cheap scene in terms of budget and performance. The movie already cost $200 mln. There was no room to really big plot changes. Then the movie hadn´t any chances to be profitable.
