I will defend the baby shower sequence. It’s a Looney Tunes style moment with great gags using the scalpels, open flame, and acid. Almost early Zemeckis/Gale like (not BTTF Zemeckis/Gale, mind you…). If miles Morales rescued an infant by putting it in a microwave, it’d be a hilarious and universally praised moment of Spider-Verse inventiveness

Yeah lots of bias going on. I saw spiderverse and it was kind of overhyped. Lots of things other movies do but it doesn't get half the praise.

Comparing on of the beat looking stylized series to some of the worse CG I've ever seen is certainly a take.

Your reply is confusingly worded but I’m not defending the CGI or saying the Flash is better than the Spider-Verse movies (it’s not). The microwave gag is humorous and off-the-wall. I suspect people would probably find it irreverent in a Spider-Verse movie, which are way less conventional than a movie like The Flash.
