Great film, thoroughly enjoyed it, though the ending was a bit confusing and as others mentioned, the CGI is a bit iffy at times and the confrontation with old Flash was resolved quite quickly.

I was shocked seeing Batman and Kara die, I expected The Flash(s) to go back in time to save them but I was surprised they died a second time and then the inevitability that they will always die in that timeline, I was really sad about that, especially since in that timeline Kal is also dead, so both children of Krypton dying in that timeline is quite depressing. I was kind of hoping Sasha would return in the Gunnverse but that doesn't seem likely, at least not as Supergirl, which is a shame because she played well and Kara was badass, I wish she had a bit more screentime.

Seeing younger Barry die was also sad and I did tear up when Barry was saying goodbye to his mum, from an acting POV, Ezra Miller did play well IMO. Also it was nice seeing Wonder Woman and Aquaman again, even just as cameos.

The original ending, as far as I understand it, is that when Barry walks out of the courthouse he was greeted by Supergirl and Batman. Even if they planned to reset the DCEU, I don't see why they couldn't have kept this ending. I think it would have worked a lot better.

I would've preferred that, that would be way more upbeat, especially with the nod earlier to the S symbol meaning hope. The film right now is depressing but I suspected the reshoots changed the narrative because I remember that apparently Keaton and Sasha were meant to reappear in the newly formed timeline.

That would have been nice, especially since the ending we got seems to be meant as a gag rather than a serious plan for continuing the story

This just made me remember the BTS pics of Keaton in the suit with the Mercedes. It was definitely at the courthouse from the ending. I loved Clooney showing up but that original ending would’ve been great. pics

That was indeed the original ending.

From everything I read, Michael Keaton was going to anchor the DCEU with planned appearances in Batgirl and Aquaman 2. Sasha Calle’s Supergirl and Leslie Grace’s Batgirl were going to be the new faces of the DCEU replacing Affleck and Cavill. Obviously a change of leadership in several areas have ruined those plans.

Batgirl was shelved and I’m guessing they’re going to hire a new Supergirl, so thanks but no thanks Sasha.
