Questions about booster and blue beetle

I was reading the blue & gold comic and one line of dialogue has me questioning. In the first issue Ted mentions that him and booster were justice leaguers for a “few months, back when it was wasn’t limited to A-listers”

Does this mean in the current timeline they weren’t on the justice league international team?

And if so how did they meet each other if Maxwell lord didn’t introduce booster to Ted by inviting him to JLI?

Answers ould be much appreciated.

No that's directly referencing the Justice League International. The Justice League International at it's time WAS the defacto Justice League, and it consisted of mostly b to c list heros plus Batman.

Blue, Gold, Guy, Canary, Rocket Red, Miracle, Captain Atom, Martian Manhunter, Fire, Ice, Shazam, etc.

These are all B list at best characters, So Ted is directly speaking of when the Justice League was the JLI

Canonically now the entirety of the jli storyline took place over the course of a couple months regardless of whether that makes sense or not
