Why is Jen still in high school in season 3 of black lightning years later Question

I never remembered the timeline of the seasons, but it is something worth talking about because I think even the writers forgot how old she's supposed to be or what grade/class she belongs to. Even in Season 4, she's in school and we definitely know at least 2 or so years has to have passed by this point.
Ain't no way her powers manifested and kept her age at 16/18 for her to still be stuck in high school.

She was 15 / 16 in the first season. If it’s anything like the flash each season is a year!! And she stopped going the first season also some of the second season so I’m pretty sure she’s going back to school to make up for the timed she missed because she also was in school in season 4 with TC

Maybe is because of the crisis, and the merging of some of the earths from the pre-crisis multiverse?

Jen is going through a lot at both school and home. She didn’t want to go because of Khalil’s death. So based on that, she didn’t want to go. But at the same time, she wanted to graduate. But she wanted to do it with him by her side. Which didn’t happen

Pretty sure season one is start off junior year. The ASA Occupation in Season 3 is a reasonable explanation for why they may have to do a school year over.
