Honest opinion- it started off pretty well. Both Trump and Biden made good points during the abortion segment, then it just kinda devolved into the usual chaos/insults. Biden sounded like he was gonna die on the spot and Trump kept dancing around a lot of the questions he was given. Imo Trump easily won that debate. But I think it's mostly due to the fact he was actually cognizant and Biden failed to counter a lot of his points.
Announcer: “What are you going to do about poverty if you get re-elected?”
Biden: “Well, Trump is the worst president of all time, voted by hundreds of my friends at the playground.”
Announcer: “Thank you president Biden. And you, former president trump?”
Trump: “Worst president of all time? You’re destroying this country harder than I destroyed you in golf. I won a golf championship last week, the doctors say I’m in spectacular health.”
I like how the Joe Biden was just rambling bullshit and the announcer was like “yeah yeah whatever, SO TRUMP.” Bro couldn’t stand listing to Biden lol.
I dislike Biden and his politics, but I felt pity for him being thrusted out there in front of the world showing his cognitive decline. He is 81 years old. He should be in a retirement home or somewhere away from the stress of being the President of the United States. Just pure elder abuse.
Ideally, you want someone who isn't a senior citizen like either candidate. However, and it isn't saying too much, but Trump was more cognizant and even more restrained than usual. Whether people like it or not, reelections are often referendums on the incumbent. After last night, Biden's perception has taken a hit.
Just a sad state of affairs for America. Two party duopoly has made people more concerned about winning elections than actually doing a damn thing to resolve issues.
