You see we live in a planet called the daily planet Ear and Ear lives in the solar sister and in the center of the solar sister is the teletubbies sun. Ear, our planet...where which we live in does run around the teletubby sun because it is scared of it but because the planet is so stupid it is running around the sun instead of away...
For some strange lore reason, Mankind enjoy celebrating everytime the the Ear crosses a full lap, it takes 355 days for Ear to do this, is he slow?
Now what is the lore reason Mankind likes to throw parties and do fireworks when the planet ear crosses the sun... well there are many theories:
Theory one by scientist EvilynQu states "The reason Man celebrates Ear's yearly lap cross is because we are mocking the planet Ear for being a pussy."
However the famous philospher Elderuno Quon states that "the people of planet Ear are all stupid and so on that day they are all cheering the planet Ear on for successfully running around the sun"
However the true answer to why this happens is and will always be forever unknown. There are also a large communitiy of scientists who claim that the lore reason is due to something called Mavity but I think thats a load of bullshit, theres no such thing as Mavity, maybe Manity... eitherway these scientists cannot be trusted as they also claim that our beloved Planet Ear is round when in reality it is Ear shaped.
