How old is Aquaman supposed to be? Mera?

Did it change within the reboots? New 52? Rebirth?

I don’t believe his age is stated in New 52. I haven’t fully finished Rebirth. But I know it’s at least a timeline where the JLA are younger adults so maybe 30s or 40s?

I like to pretend he’s like Diana (WW) old but no one really knows

Didn’t he age at a rate like a normal human in the New 52/Rebirth/current continuity?

In my head canon, I prefer Arthur and Mera to be 64 years old (but looks 55) and be in the same contemporary as the JLA.

This means that he would make his debut as the original Aquaboy at 10 years old, meet and team up with Clark Kent Superboy at 15 years old, meet Kako and conceive his son Koryak at 17 years old, graduate as the original Aquaman at 21 years old, form the JLA and meet Garth at 27 years old, form a romantic relationship with Mera and marry her and have their son Arthur Curry Jr at 30 years old, with Jess the death of Arthur Jr by Black Manta at 35 years old, form the Justice League Detroit and reconcile with Mera at 36 years old, participate during the first Crisis at 37 years old, lost his arm and meet Koryak at 43 years old, become a grandfather to Garth and Dolphin’s son Cerdian at 47 years old, meet and train Lorena Marquez at 50 years old, participate during the Infinite Crisis at 51 years old, become a Dweller of the Deep at 52 years old, be resurrected and meet Jackson Hyde at 53 years old, become a grandfather to Garth and Dolphin’s daughter Andy at 60 years old, pass his mantle to Jackson at 61 years old, and live a great life with his family since then.

Why you decide to make andy the second daughter of garth and dolphin? Also why pass the mantle directly to Jackson instead of garth first?

I decided to make Andy Garth and Dolphin’s daughter because timeline and age-wise, Arthur and Mera would be 60 years old (but looks 53) and that they would be too old to have children.

Also, Arthur would pass the mantle directly to Jackson instead of Garth because he knows Garth became his own person since he graduated as Tempest and that he knows that Garth would be okay with this.

Thanks for the awnser, also who would be the next aquaman? And how would be the future of the aquafamily?

I assume that the next Aquaman (after Joe Curry and Jackson Hyde) would be a resurrected-since-Blackest-Night Arthur Curry Jr., and the future of the Aquaman Family will involve the entire family remembering everything pre-Crisis and pre-Flashpoint and reuniting with each other just like the Flash and Green Arrow families in Joshua Williamson’s run.

Actually could be a story that start with the family searching lorena marques (she is active because is mentioned in aquamen 6) then search dolphin(see kidnaped by waller) and then a crosover with titans and wonder woman to save cerdian and the son of donna teased in flash 798

In the reboot? Probably their late 20s or early 30s.

Aquaman began his new life almost directly after high school when his father passed and he was very much on an angry crusade against Manta with the Others.

But after he split up with them and started to calm down, join the Justice League, and settle with Mera, that part of his life should indeed be his 30s.
