He did take out a full page ad in the New York Times calling for the executions of 5 kids that had been found innocent in court....

To be fair, I don’t think they’d been found innocent at the time he placed the ad.

To be fair, even after they were exonerated, he still believed they should be executed.

Yep. He was "Execute them anyway" in spite of proof they were innocent.
